It's a very interesting phenomenon how confident they seem to be with their team. They did dominate the play i game 2, but the Rangers won it after dominating game 1.

I wrote it in the pre-gane thread: they're almost the complete opposite of Rangers fans. Could you imagine this place after the two games they had? A funeral would be funny in comparison...

I was ready to jump off a building when Pacioretty scored first

Seems to be an assumption that how the Habs played in the 1st period of Game 2 is how they will keep starting games. Totally different situation. Down 1-0 at home, winning ties the series the series going back to NYC. Seems much more likely that the Rangers will bring that type of energy tonight. A win tonight all but punches a ticket to the Finals.

Losing that Game 2 surely had to take a lot of the wind out of their sails. Dominate 1st, 19 shots in the 3rd, come out with 1 goal.

They seem to think that the way they played in the first they played for the entire game. 19 shots is a lot, until you realize that they weren't scoring in another 5 of those types of periods. They padded their stats with garbage shots. We had the worst period in 5 games in period one, and they had some good chances (first 15 minutes really), they seemed to think that and that shot total means they dominated throughout. Besides 3-1 dominating loss? Give me a break. 7-2, not that's domination.

Honestly, maybe it's a sort of Western European soccer fan mentality they have, but Habs fans are so so different from anyone else. They're making me a Bruins fan.

And they were mocking the Bruins for saying how they dominated yet lost on the scoreboard. And they were also telling the world how Tampa having the backup goalie made no difference. What goes around...

Is there a game tonight?? :sarcasm:

It's about time. I hope these guys have more patience and focus than I have at the moment. These two items will be key today. They can't get too up or down depending on the circumstances and remember its a 60 minute game. Go full out every shift until the end.

I'd usually be concerned about scoring first but I think the Rangers can comeback against Montreal and the Kid. He played ok IMO but I don't think the Rangers challenged him too much. They need to put pressure on him like they did to HL on Monday. If they do, I can see them putting up 3 or 4 at least.

Oh and a little killer instinct wouldn't hurt tonight either...;)

Most important game of the series. Let's bury them tonight. No Hope. No Momentum. No more Bell Centre.

That's really the team I would like to see for once.

Then there is the school of thought that says adversity really helps build champions. I'd like to think this team has had it's fair share of adversity and hates what losing brings.

End them.

Most of you would have never survived 1994. That's for sure.

Since we are discussing chants in this thread, when the Rangers came back from Vancouver with a 3-1 series lead, the crowd was chanting We Want the Cup before the anthem in Game 5.

Nothing wrong with that, it was the Stanley Cup Finals, and the cup was in the building.
