This game scares me. It just scares the hell out of me. Win or lose.

I'm afraid to lose because then it's 2-1. Montreal is very much in the series.

I'm afraid to win because while 3-0 is very nice, it also opens the door to possibly blowing a 3-0 lead. I went through it with the Yankees and trust me, you never wanna go through it. It changed me as a sports fan for the rest of my life.

Either way, this is gonna suck until Sunday. Still prefer to win though.

Going up 3-0 means we have a 95% chance of advancing.

Losing and going 2-1 drops that to about a 75% chance of advancing.

ARGH... This is where being a transplanted fan hurts. I was born in LA, so it was one of those situations where no one outside of my house really cared.

I live in DC now, so if they do make it, and there's a potential clincher at MSG I might have to just bite the bullet with the ridiculous cost of tickets and make it up there.

I was lucky enough to go to Game 6 of the '09 World Series with my dad, and it's something I won't forget for the rest of my life.

If it falls through PM me. I live in Baltimore. Could meet at a bar somewhere and watch.

Anyone who knew what it was like before 1994 is going to be afraid of blowing a 3-0 lead. Just like we're scared to death right now just at 2-0.

Just like faceoffs in our own zone will scare us even when there's only :07 secs on the clock.

U can only grab the cheese and be shocked so many times before the mere thought of grabbing the cheese makes ur spine hurt.

What beer tonight? I'm doing Victory Golden Monkey!

Fantastic choice! Love me some monkey.

I'm actually going out to dinner at a restaurant that does beer pairings with each course.. so I should be in prime condition to watch the game when I get back

Still trying to sell the ******** that Hank had a leisurely third period, I see.

Still trying to pretend Montreal dominated the game I see. Just makes it easier to believe your own bs excuses, don't worry I get it.

Yeah..these 8 PM games leave a lot more time for diner. The later the better for me. I rarely watch day games, even in the playoffs.

The idea that a goalie had a great game but the team wasn't dominated the entire game seems like a foreign concept to him. So foreign that he makes stuff up about me after all I did was praise Lundqvist for the game and the winning streak, at one point saying that it's the best he's ever played in the playoffs. But no, chosen can't handle Lundqvist not making 41 amazing saves and thus accuses me of **** I never said or thought.

Even if we win the cup, this fanbase will argue over which waterboy should get his name on it first.

Even if we win the cup, there'd be non stop moaning at the draft that we have no 1st and how this or that prospect would be so much more worth than MSL at 39...

Yep, even if they lift the silver, I would still expect a "Was the MSL trade worth it?" thread after TSN's 17th ranked prospect falls to #29.

Foot on throat time. I thought the Hawks were unstoppable the way that game was going and then things went south for them real fast. We have to be ruthless. Give them nothing!, but take from them everything!!!LGR!!

I feel like it's only a select few posters who "argue" at unnecessary times.

Even during bad times, it's usually mostly people who agree to disagree with a few outliers.

That being said, it's insane to be afraid of this team going up 3-0.

To be honest, I'm a little afraid of having too big of a break between our next game. If we sweep them, we will likely have about a week and a little change before the next time we play.

The last time the Rangers were on a roll and went on a prolonged break (Olympics) they came out of the gate struggling.

No bueno.

At the same time, you finish a team off when you have the chance. In an ideal world, I'd love the Rangers to finish the Habs in 5 and have the West Coast series end in 5/6.

I'm not afraid of the 3-0 lead itself, I'm afraid of the game 4 after it. It's still a big game that either ends the series or changes the complexion of it.
