I'm not afraid of the 3-0 lead itself, I'm afraid of the game 4 after it. It's still a big game that either ends the series or changes the complexion of it.

If we go up 3-0, barring any major injuries or something, it's over. No way is Montreal winning four straight without Carey Price, not to mention how extremely hard it is to come back down 0-3 (I know the Kings did it this year, but that's cause SJ lost its best defenseman on an already weak defense).

i dont think ive ever been this confident in the playoffs...
thank you god that we got rid of torts. those teams would play 0-0 games up until the last 10 mins way to often. tht just builds the stress

Good luck for tonight Rangers. Habs need this one so bad, lets see if they can surprise everybody like they did all season. You guys are already chanting ''We want the cup'' :) I just hope the rangers are already thinking about the West like some of the fans. Habs need all the help they can get.

You guys are in a really good position right now and if you win the series, I'll be joining you guys and cheer for the Rangers in the finals.

This year is not nearly as bad tension wise as 1994. The last two rounds of that were a roller coaster. So far this round we're in now has been a breeze. That said--the Rangers need to win this game and they do that by playing smart and disciplined hockey and jumping all over these guys. Rangers have the match ups tonight and an obviously big advantage in goal--that is unless Tokarski is going to show himself to be the next Martin Brodeur--the young version not the old one. I wouldn't bet on it. Rangers can exploit the Canadiens 2nd defense pair with speed. Their overall defense is not as good as ours. The other thing is Michel Therrien has been out dueled by Vigneault in both games. AV has been a lot smarter.

That said--any team can win any game. They need to be taken seriously. Best to get out of this series as early as possible. Hopefully the Kings and the Blackhawks will beat each other up on the way to a 7 game series. We could use the help. 10 wins so far--all the team needs to think about tonight is No. 11. Everything in its own time.

Its not uncommon for fans to start cheering "we want the cup" sometimes even before the conference finals. I just wonder, did that start with the rangers in 94?

I hope most of you guys anyway have gotten over the Price-Kreider collision. It was an accident and not deliberate. Very unfortunate accident however for your team. I'd expect your guys to go hard to the net if they saw a clear path. It's what I'd expect out of anybody that truly wanted to win. That is what Kreider did. Everything these guys work for the entire season comes down to these games. They all should give their all.

Nice to see a non-homer post that doesn't involve a million excuses. Kudos.

Headed to the game now. I don't know about everyone else, but I plan to be loud... until my throat hurts.

Enjoy, everyone.

Two original 6 teams clashing and 97 percent of the fan base conversation is crepes and pizza. This is good hockey

So according to TSN John Lu (tsn.ca), Carcillo in for Brassard... Hmm. Was hoping Miller to get a chance, but I guess AV doesn't trust his defensive game :(

Smart move honestly. Miller is getting better but not ECF better. Carcillo hasn't been a liability thus far and can finish checks and such.

Miller is on the cusp, just not entirely there yet.

This should be extra motivation for him to improve his game this summer. That's what he needs. We'll see how he approaches this. We should value players who pride hard work for improvement. If he doesn't rise up to the challenge, we should have a pretty good indication of the type of success he will enjoy in this league.

where is this conversation?

Was mostly joking, but the main board series discussion between NYR and Habs fans has been pretty civil and has had lots of good talk about food in various places.

I can't speak for every Habs fan but for the record, i never blamed Kreider for the collision and i made it perfectly clear last time i was here. It was a accident, but no im not over it lol, we lost are best player when we need him the most. The timing sucks, but no one is to blame. But i agree the Habs need to go to the net more, make it hard for Hank to see the puck.
