It's possible you did something to push it back but I've had the draft happen while the SCF was still going on! I know the draft dates differ in Olympic years, that could be confusing you too.
Yeah, I did run one where they did do the draft before the finals ended, but i changed my playoff dates. So it runs it on the date the first season and then maybe the new schedule spawn pushes it back? I'm trying to have a later-in-June finish anyways, but all the playoff dates i've been running account for olympic years/later finishes (so the latter three years had a week off before the playoffs), so they've all been ending late anyways. Wondering if it has more to do with the trading resumes date and making sure that always precedes the draft?

If the game crashes (no error message, it just closes down) on the same date, is there any trouble shooting to save that save file? Or am I doomed?

You can post a bug report on the EHM SI Games forum and Riz will eventually debug it, but you can try turning off Background Images in the options, I've heard that sometimes will get you past those kinds of crashes (not sure why).

Any tips on getting an NHL GM fired using only EHM assistant. Doesn't have a contract to terminate and I prefer to play a few years of junior before taking over an NHL squad. Want to take over a specific team this time around

Don't believe you can, easiest way to get fired is to make trades that piss off your board + poor results.

Add a new manager that takes control of that team, then retire,
The position will be open and you can apply, but then its up to the AI to hire you I believe.

I know this is likely a hard no, but is there any way to add filters on the stats page? like, when sorting goalie stats, it would be super nice to filter by games played, so that all the goalies who played 1 game and got a .950+ save percentage aren't clogging up the rankings! lol

NHLX v1.2 has been updated!
- Visit the website for downloads here. Be sure to grab the Logo Pack Expansion to keep the graphics coordinated with the database updates.
https://ehm-nhlx.wixsite.com/nhlx

TRANSACTIONS & PLAYERS
- Updated transaction, contracts, commits and massaged ratings (every update!) Includes Toffoli of course, Cooley comitted to Minnesota instead of Notre Dame next year and a rash of pretty big European transactions that have occured because the KHL regular season has ended early.
- Lots of reputation and ratings tweaking to try and produce fairly similar top national teams minus NHL players to what nations have taken to the Olympics. Of course in NHLX, the Olympics still include the NHL players and you can never force EHM to be smart about selections but I'm pretty happy with this update.
- Tons of real new 2006 & 2007 top prospects from around the globe. The USNTDP is also filled out through the 2006 and 2007 birth years with full teams of real top American prospects (on loan at their midget/prep squads during the first season). Quite a few new real 2004 & 2005 prospects from some smaller nations have been added as well - a few who could actually turn out to be gems so keep your scouts on their toes.
- Had missed Yan Kuznetsov and Samuel Knazko being reassigned to the CHL so that is fixed.
LEAGUE UPDATES
- ***NEW LEAGUE ALTERT*** The Silver International Hockey League has been added. See info here: NHLX - An EHM Database - Page 3 - EHM The Blue Line
TEAM UPDATES
- New Frolunda identity and logos (if you grab the logo expansion)...see info here: NHLX - An EHM Database - Page 3 - EHM The Blue Line
EXPANSION UPDATES
- Tweaked the expansion draft results/file a bit to remove some guys who I think are too valuable to their current clubs and replace with some other fringeier players.
INTERNATIONAL UPDATES
- The player updates discussed above should produce some more current national team selections as well as extend real player prospects well into the future with the 2006-2007 (and some 2008) birth year prospects.
NHLX LOGO PACK EXPANSION UPDATE
- All new logos for the Silver League including the comp itself and all the teams
- New Frolunda logo (temporary for now)
- Updated the Polska Hokej Liga logo which had been missed before.

Yes but non-NHL international events like the winter international friendlies or Nine Nations Cup should have some more realism-based selections. Basically - just a ratings update for a lot of top Euro based players (including North Americans playing in Europe) to try and produce accurate international selection.

I had done this too when trying to see if I could get more top USA prospects to go to colleges, If you use the Loan feature in the extra_config file you can loan players out for longer than season so theoretically you could have prospects with set college transfers in like 2027 and have them loaned out to another team until they're 16 and their loan ends and they end up in the USNTDP. Its kinda clunky with younger players though so I probably wouldn't go younger than the players you already have.

I did, however, find out that its only players under 50 World Rep who want to sign with colleges and it seems like they sign even if they have 200 Home and Current Rep so that kinda solved my problem there. Colleges also just assign lower rep players who were born nearby to their squads which I believe U16 clubs do too, which makes it easy to fill out colleges since you can just make a pool of low rep players born from the Cities the colleges are based in and they'll get assigned to a college, the only problem is this applies to all colleges so I ended up purging all the unplayable college leagues. Some cities were really weird though (for example all the players from Grand Forks, ND in my testing seemed to never get assigned to any NCAA teams, and they often all got assigned to the same ACHA team in Colorado, just ended up replacing them with more players from Minnesota since they seemed to get assigned to North Dakota just fine)

after the above changes here are a couple of the worst teams in the NCAA from 2028-29 and they are pretty filled up:

Great stuff, I’ll have to take a look at this this weekend. I did massage reps for the NCAA to be more inline with what @xECK29x did with Pivot and it certainly helps. A lot of interesting techniques to try and keep the NCAA humming along - although I feel like all of us trying to come up with patchwork solutions to a league and development system that was never really designed to be anything more than a background league. But it’s come a long ways for sure with everybody’s research and testing.

Here's a peak behind the curtain of how I track NCAA recruits and classes for each university - which also includes guys in the config file I have slated to turn pro early (based on realistic estimates - obviously I can't see the future) plus younger real recruits who I have committed to NCAA schools in the future who might be uncommitted at this point. I know that takes a bit of fun out of being able to recruit certain real prospects but I like to keep the big NCAA programs stocked with top talent as far into the future as I can.

This spreadsheet also let's me massage my config commits so that for the bigger schools with tons of commits - they positionally take in real classes each year to reflect their losses so that the "shape" of the squad maintains relatively realistic as far into the future as I can go. It also "highlights" with red boxes when I've overloaded a squad at a position. Some of it can't be avoided like Air Force below where they have a big squad already with few seniors and all their commits are 2001 born basically so they all have to be for the 2022 fall class.

Right now I extend to 2025 freshman classes (with DOB ranging from 2004 at the older end to 2007 at the younger) so that bigger schools like BC and BU pictured below have those realistic squads with top American recruits into that 2025, 2026, 2027 type time frame. I don't lock-in commits for every prospect but definitely the top guns from each birth year. If a brother or father went to a school it tends to influence where I place them...also regional influences of course. Just educated guesses until real recruiting info starts to spill in or they actually commit somewhere.

Also I got rid of the ACHA and Division III (/II) in NHLX because I don't like how they infringed on the main NCAA recruiting. I don't really care about low level schools - it's simply more in-depth than I need my EHM "fix" to be. Plus the NCAA is already expanded in NHLX. It tends to streamline things though because there is ONE college league now that all recruits who want to play college funnel into. I guess I still have U Sports but it's not playable in my database and EHM has no idea how to handle that league anyways (I mean, mainly, its a post-CHL league for junior guys with low pro aspirations) so it doesn't really affect anything. It just kinda goes "vacant" after a while.

Does anyone know how easy (if possible at all) to modify the NHL HOF restrictions? And is it possible to modify them on an "in-progress" save, or does it need to be done on a new save?

I get that there's no "committee" to decide HHOF nominations, but I'd like to raise 750pts for a forward to 1000 pts, and the defensemen's 550 pts to 750. and maybe clean up the hall in my current save, but no biggie if it's not possible
