11 pm. Good day, guys! We got 9 picks in, which is fantastic, especially considering I just kind of dropped the start of draft on you all.

The last pick was late enough that I'm giving @Toene his full 6 hours starting at 8 am Monday. Hopefully he checks in in the morning.

Still lots of quality names on the board for San Jose to choose from.

I'm done here for the day.

The San Jose :sharks are thrilled to select, from Omskie in the VHL, left-winger with a name that will get massacred so many times in his career :

Ivan Miroshnichenko

With this kid, the package of strength, skill and excellent skating is simply to good to let him slip from our fingers. The Sharks are obviously aware of the concerns regarding Miroshnichenko's health, and will offer all the help we can get him to contribute to his mental and physical well-being in these stressful times.
With that said, we have no doubt about the young man's resolve and we believe that the fight he's putting against cancer will reveal his unshakeable character.

Bold pick. I can see Sharks doing it.

Columbus is proud to select from Gatineau of the Q... Tristan Luneau

I feel like the draft is starting to open up here. I didn't want to take xxxxxx and shied away from the Russians. I got a guy that I bet a bunch of teams were hoping would fall.... but he didn't! 6'2 RHD who moves the puck very well, has a good motor and a great head for the game. I could have gone with xxxx, but I felt more comfortable that Luneau would fit in and play for a long time... I almost took xxxxxx but I feel Luneau has a bit more flair and plus he's a RHD.

Sorry, had to edit. You can't mention players that haven't been drafted yet. :thumbu::D

But, great pick. Luneau definitely projects as a top 4, two-way D and he's pretty stable. There's not a lot of weaknesses in his game.

#13 NYI

On the behalf of all the New York Islanders organization I would like to thanks the Montreal Canadiens and their fan for an incredible hospitality.

With the #13 pick in the 2022 NHL draft the New York Islanders are happy and excited to select from Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL.

Since they have a bare prospect pool and atrociously long contracts to wait out, they can afford to wait for him to get better and carefully, gradually get his development back on track. If he reaches his ceiling, he's gonna be an absolute monster.

Great pick! Russian factor aside, he competes with a bunch of guys at the top of the draft.
