Yeah, me either. Plus it set the draft up for more fun anyways. I knew if I took Cooley, Wright most likely goes #2 to the Habs which dispels a bit of the mystery of who would the Habs GM take logically at #2 since Wright would be gone IRL.

I'm Chicago and see I'm picking at #7. Wouldn't CBJ get that pick from the Seth Jones trade if the Blackhawks don't have a top 2 pick? Or are we throwing out conditional trades to keep things simple with the season still not completed?

Yeah they are a candidate to take the first defenceman but that offence would be nasty.

Lol possibly. Like you, I also thought they took more defencemen in the 1st, but it’s been a while. York 2019 and before that Provorov in 2015. Still the BPA here and like you said, he’s easily the best of the bunch for the Flyers.

Yes, If Slafkovsky had left on the board, Nemec would be my pick. Close between Jiricek and Nazar too.
I think Slafkovsky is a "sexy pick" to make and Slafkovsky - Hughes - Holtz looks potentially amazing together on paper!

It was between him and Nemec for me. I like Jiricek’s upside but not playing hurts his stock a bit while Nemec is improving. David has a chance to be a Ristolainen type, and the Flyers don’t want two of them
