Would the point of getting Larkin not be to get a clear upgrade behind Stuetzle? He's a clear upgrade on Cozens.
Is it that clear? I wonder how Larkin would do not getting all the prime situations.

It lands different when it's not actually your team on the LOL end but I still on some level manage to find it irritating. That probably says something awkward about me.Mcdavid + nurse + Jarry for
Larkin + Sieder + Raymond + Cossa

They’re gonna have to get a 3rd team involved. Just not sure they have the assets to make another big move for a player in their prime.Has to be Minnesota
Why would Larkin go to Carolina if Aho is going the other way?Aho for Larkin if he doesn't show up this series?
Listening. You are prob talking misa + 2nd overall to start conversation and go from there
A full NTC and then asking for a trade is the kind of exestential drama HfB thrives on. We’ll never hoist the cup, but golly gee, we can have some fun with thisThe amount of people in here ignoring the fact Larkin has a full NTC is staggering.

Also thinking Detroit is going to trade in division too...The amount of people in here ignoring the fact Larkin has a full NTC is staggering.
Should be any minute nowTaking bets on the number of pages before someone posts a link where this is refuted and then another bet on how many pages this thread goes on for like it was never refuted.
I'm guessing 3 pages before finding out it's not true and 15 pages of trade proposals and shitting on him for asking for a trade after that.
I know blaming Yzerman is the new thing to do. But Larkin has also been part of the problem
Byfield for Larkin makes sense. Todd also used to coach Byfield. I'm just not sure Larkin would want to go to LA. May as well just stay in Detroit.I will trade Byfield and his entire bloodline for Larkin
Nah goalies don’t have that much value. Don’t see a keeper being the main piece going back.Larkin + Cossa
for
Hellebuyck + Yager
is that reasonable?
Listen, I'm not always wrong, but when I am, it's not an unfamiliar feeling.Should be any minute now

When a team signals rebuild coming (the captain bailing counts) - the vultures with near term hopes and Cup contenders absolutely come knocking. Thats how the rebuild game works. This is the sort of rationale that would have led to the Jackets trading away Werenski about five years ago when Jones and PLD left.
There is no reasonable circumstance that leads to Detroit trading away Seider right now, period, no matter what. He's what you hope to get with those sorts of picks and frequently don't get. He is not so old as to be outside of their potential competitive window even if they do have to reset after this. He's a keeper. Trying to insist on him being movable is just adding insult to injury. You can talk about some of the older guys, like, say, DeBrincat (and I think some Wings fans are in fact contemplating that), but by any possible rational measure Seider should be an absolute untouchable, and it's a vulture's attitude to attempt to insist otherwise.
(which is annoying, because I would gleefully murder to get him in union blue, but, alas.)
How does that have anything to do with American players? You’re still that bitter about the Olympics? The whiniest players in the league are all Canadian buddy.I'm an old bastard, I remember that (Messier was always a jackass) and much more. But while owners are a terrible breed of monopolistic extractive dirtball, the modern wealth of players has made (some/most of) them just as unrepentantly cutthroat and selfish. And it seems to be particularly bad with (but by no means limited to) the American stars. It's good to be principled and have a strong sense of self and a desire to win, but it seems far more like they consider contracts to be meaningless. They accept the long-term generational wealth but none of the responsibilities/trade-offs.
July 1st doesn't have to be a nightmare when he can sign him on July 2nd.Crackpot theory. What if the Devils use this as an opportunity to secure their position to get Quinn Hughes?
It's literally no secret that Quinn wants to play with Larkin. Minny will try hard to acquire him as well. But the Devils could get him very easily if they decide to move on from Hischier.
Does trading Hischier and Markstrom for Larkin and Trey Augustine make Bill Guerin's July 1st a living nightmare?
Obviously Hischier has more value than Larkin 1 for 1. The Devils would want to use it as an excuse to shed cap for the inevitable, and the Red Wings have so much goalie talent that would make the Devils less of a dumpster fire.
Not that I think this would happen... This situation is just fascinating.
Nope, we lost the Olympics, that's life. And there are indeed many whiny Canadian players. But there's a definite pattern with Hughes, Matthews, Larkin, Hellebuyck, Miller, Eichel, both Tkachuks, etcHow does that have anything to do with American players?
