Dumba hit on Pavelski

Late hit. And apparently not charging because......he's skating backwards?

Clearly the league and the PA want the physicality and the injuries to remain in the game. It's consistent with what we have seen over the last few years.

Any Wild fans calling that a "clean hit" would be screaming bloody murder if it was Marchment taking out Kaprizov instead.......and they know it.

League really dropped the ball there, last night.

In more ways than one, actually, those officials were a trainwreck from start to finish. So many blatant missed calls, on both sides.

Officials were a mess. Some of the stuff they called was tricky tacky, some if the stuff they let go was obvious.

Just a mess.

I thought they were going to call 5 just by default, big hit with an injury result. Tad late imo, man slow motion in these cases really make it look worse than it is. It looks like Pav's own stick did most of the damage. Rare refs made the right call comment but I think they did. Now if I'm a Stars fan I prob think different...

Doesn’t look suspendable but pretty typical chicken shit hit that’s expected form the wild. If he squared him up like a man he’s fine.

Good hit, I am surprised he didn’t get 5+ game because the league is soft as charmin anymore as well as half the fans. Pretty sure hartmans stick caught him right in the face, then fell and hit head on ice. God I hate slo-mo replays. Hit was not in any way late. Not a fan of either team btw.

It was definitely late and interference as the puck had moved on but totally looked shoulder to shoulder. The broadcast team also mentioned that the stick swinging and hitting Pavelski in the head + him hitting the ice probably did the most damage. Hope Pavelski is ok. I was ok with either a 2 or 5 minute penalty on the play.

Late, high, AND he leaves his feet, and it resulted in injury. Dumba should sit a few for that one. This is actually pretty similar to what Aaron Rome did to Nathan Horton back in the day.

Late hit and should've been 5 minutes. These are the type of bushleague hits that shoud stay in the past. I'm all for tough hardnosed hockey but this wasn't all that. This was the hunting of vulnerable player and hit was late to the punch. I'm pulling for Wild but dirty is dirty is dirty.

The puck streak is hard to see but it's circled. Dumba hasn't even started moving towards Pavelski yet.

Late and head contact. Should be a suspension but the NHL is garbage. Hopefully Dumba gets his ass kicked for this one.

The outcome was bad here. I do think that Joe moved the puck before a hit was starting to be initiated thus making it a late hit. Just an unexpected hit and bad outcome from Joe's side. The hit didn't need to be made and I think the stick was a little high there. (couldn't tell on the angle if it was Pavelski or Dumba's stick) It should be 2 minutes.

Doesn't matter if someone told you the funniest joke you've ever heard, you don't go laughing around while someone you just hit is crippled on the ice, clean or not.

It wasn't late, it wasn't high and Dumba never left his feet. If either of these were true, they wouldn't have downgraded it from a 5 min major.

The puck was off Pavelski's stick for about a quarter of a second and the hit was shoulder to shoulder.

It was just a bad outcome, the hit itself wasn't dirty.

Point of contact is shoulder. It was late for my liking but not a head shot like some are trying to claim.

I don't even think it's particularly late either. We've been taught since we were 12 to finish checks. That's why you're told not to admire your pass.
