LeBrun: Dubois wants out of Winnipeg, will not sign a contract for next season

Not being sensitive. Just don't understand that someone would make a claim that Dach is a miss this early in the game and how he has progressed so far.. Makes no sense.
Also it seems your the one getting bent all out of shape with your remarks in the last line.
Dude i clearly said i hope, not my problem you got your panties in a knot and pretend to talk for habs fans.

Just an fyi i love it when people double down on stupid, and you sir are doing a great job at it.

So keep these gems coming.

He’s saying he didn’t say that, though
2028 post
He's using bad grammer as an excuse. Just before it he made it clear he didn't like the trade.
His grammer seems pretty fine in all the insults he's throwing around.
Kind of makes you think.

For all you know, their offer is Vilardi, M Roy, and 2024 1st.
That would be a pretty good deal IMO. Although Roy would most likely need to be flipped as there already is Schmidt, Pionk, and Demelo on the right, and the Jets already need to start making some room on D for some younger players.

Vilardi, Druzi, Spence. The key is that they fit needs for the Jets (C and RHD). Also, I don't think Byfield is off the table. Clarke is probably untouchable.

Also, the cap coming back (iafallo and/or arvidsson) is WAY better than the shit (Dvorak, Hoffman, anderson) that the habs would need to send
0 interest in Durzi for me.

One interesting thing for me has been comparing Habs and LA prospect pool both rebuilding teams for a similar amount of time, it is amazing to see how mid Habs prospect pool is compared to LA. And LA already has better players on their NHL lineup!
Uh Habs have been rebuilding for like a year now with HUGO.

LA has been since their last cup run…

Habs fans obsession with Bergevin is disturbing
Not unlike all these cases of people bringing criminal charges or lawsuits years later. We were abused and traumatized for 10 years, now we are entitled to our pound of flesh in retribution and justice

Montreal isn't a great trading parter, which is why I don't think they'll end up with Dubois.

Unless the Jets get a centre through another avenue, I'm expecting a young centre in return. They also have a hole in a young RD.

The return I'd think the organization is looking for is a young centre (to place Dubois because no one internally can do it) and a some sort of RD/G prospect.

IF Dubois is changing teams faster than I change my dirty underwear, why would you think his trade value would be high?? He is considered a rental player permanently lol

I guess you missed the media buzz that Dubois is will to do an 8-year sign and trade.

If LA thinks Byfield is going to get them where they want to go they wouldn't be trading for PLD. I can't imagine they would trade for PLD then insist on holding onto Byfield just to slot him in the 4th line C role.

Phil Danault leaves Montreal because Bergevin saw him as a 3C, signs in LA to become a successful 2C and then Bergevin comes to LA, goes for PLD and that pushes Danault back to a 3C.
Oh, the irony
Maybe for a bit but it’s more about Kopi getting older and Byfield not being ready

PLD is what they hope Byfield will become. If they're in "win now" mode, the deal makes sense for them

Different stages in the rebuild. La bottomed out 2 years earlier. But that's what we've been trying to tell Jets fans, were in no position to be buying big in the trade market.

habs have a good young RD in Justin Barron, who happens to be Morgan Barron's younger brother. It would be difficult to part with him as he was originally in the Lehkonen deal, but if Hughes feels Mailloux is ready or Habs take Reinbacher at 5, it could happen.
Young C, habs of course have Dach (Who I don't think is available).
They might also consider trading Beck.
I'd say they'd prefer to give up Barron - even though he has tremendous potential + Fla's 1st and some other assets, like a middle 6 forward from
the roster.

Is WPG going on a full rebuild ?

Btw Dach is not going anywhere wtf is this nonesense

Hard to see Montreal getting Dubois without giving up Dach. Sifting through sludge like Kidney and other middling prospects supposedly on the table isn’t bearing any value.

Habs has been rebuilding for less than 2 years… will get their 2nd top 5 picks. don’t see how they’ve been rebuilding for the same amount of time as the Kings.

that doesn't mean were the ones making the pld to montreal proposals
Depending on what other teams are able to trade, he may end up in Montreal, and the return likely won't knock your socks off

Just like there are lots insisting that we take Dvorak for him
Irrelevant to the conversation I was having

You might have to squint

A few Jets fans laughed at my suggestion of Kotkaniemi. I think it's actually a pretty good scenario for both sides, no?

Just depends if PLD will sign there.

ok? what does that have to do with the conversation at all? you made a claim as if it was jets fans were making these proposals to montreal and habs fans saying they can't afford to go big game hunting at this point in their rebuild when in reality it's been a year of montreal fans making 90+% of the proposals for pld

For a lot of Habs fans everything changed when it came out he was open to a sign and trade before UFA with multiple teams.

Most Habs fans (myself included) were hoping for a discount trade, or a free asset in FA. With the new info, it no longer makes sense for the Habs who are still very early in building.

The late 1st + mid roster player + prospect package I would offer likely doesn't compete with other teams offering better assets because they are further along.
