LeBrun: Dubois wants out of Winnipeg, will not sign a contract for next season

PLD is not sitting out and missing out on 6 mil+....and the Jets are not going to sit him out all year to prove a point.... The Jets will trade PLD for the best offer they get on the teams he has put on his extension list....IF someone who just wants him for this season puts up the best offer (doubt it) then the Jets will trade him there...

Well it depends on what position the habs are in next summer and what their roster looks like and most importantly how much he'll cost over 8 years.

Adding him to a young core of Dach, Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf would certainly be nice. But also important to see what's going to happen with Anderson, Monahan and Dvorak and how our other prospects (namely Farrell and Roy) are developing.

What do Kings fans think of this:

PLD signed for 8x8.5 + Helle 50% retained for
Clarke + Valardi + Iafallo/Arvidson + 2024 1st
 
Montreal can't offer what LA can. LA is a good trade partner for Winnipeg and I think PLD would sign there.
 
Really hope we can somehow land Byfield. Looked excellent in all the LA games I saw post AHL stint last year, have a feeling he's gonna breakout sooner or later

IIRC there was also comments out there about PLD.......AND Helle to LA, that would be a block buster trade of the summer I'm sure.

I like how some of you make up scenarios like pld sitting for a year and then argue for pages about it eventho that won't be a thing.

All this for a 2 center. In LA with veteran leadership, he might thrive tho.

I liked him when he was drafted alot, not sure whats happened to him since his draft but seems to be progressing slow
 
I get it, but it's odd that they would target PLD over Hellebuyck unless they have a different target they like better.

Seems like Bergevin is pushing for PLD as it's something they don't really need at this point.

Winnipeg looking at Arvidsson and Durzi ? Get a forward back and a right handed d that the Jets seem to need ?

Those are as NHL players.

How can they even fit PLD with 2 more defenceman + 1 goalie and 2 more forwards with 7.3M left in cap space?

How much is Vilardi going to cost?

LA throwing a the kitchen sink at Winnipeg for Dubois and Hellebuyck at 50% retention (unextended) makes a ton of sense imo. I think Byfield would be the centerpiece of that package *ducks*.

Thay means LA would need to clear 11M to make it happen, who do they trade?

Yes i think so i dont think they would give Byfield or Clarke but i think they would beat MTL's offer i would be all for trading our florida/calgary 1st + Beck/Mesar + roster player ( cap ) but not willing to trade Dach i know some jets fans are only looking at the numbers right now but we value hes potentiel i think he will become the better player soon so if its Dach or nothing i hope we pass

Vilardi is going to be cheap on a bridge. He missed some games & they tanked his value playing him with Lizotte.
