Montreal would do well to add the beefy Dubois. Having your top 6 full of munchkins probably won’t serve you well.

Not to mention Suzuki's like 210 lbs. He's bigger than Crosby. You mean the two munchkins that brought them to the SCF two years ago and were 1 & 3 in points production for their team at 20 and 21 years old?
Habs top 6 also consist of Dach (6’4 220), Anderson, (6’3 218) and also eventually Slafkovsky (6’3 238). I think they will be fine with or without Dubois
Unless Guhle is up for a Norris and Slaf is 90 pt player they aren't getting $8mill LMAOHabs can’t afford PLD. Guhle and Slaf will be lined up for their 8M x8 contract in 2 years, followed by Hutson, then Michkov who will not sign an entry level contract and do the Kaprizov. Habs set the precedent for over paying unproven player. It will these players agents who laugh and hang up.

Yeah that mfer is vertically challenged but he horizontally oversizedNot to mention Suzuki's like 210 lbs. He's bigger than Crosby.

Except they can try to move him before the date you are allowed to os.players who sign an offer sheet when matched can not be traded for 1 full year, which would put PLD into UFA status next july.
don't worry...we will keep Dach. We have a guy named Armia you may like!
We did like Armia when he played for the Jets but why the hell did you guys overpay him so much?
Getting back to Dach and being the fourth worst faceoff player in the league, should he be shifted to the wing?
Harris and ylonen does not give us anything we already have spades off. Beck is a higher Celsing center, which suit us more. But we dont know what other teams he wants to play for, so who knows if it is good.Notwithstanding the topic, i, as a habs fan, appreciate the civility in your exchanges lol.
We're hoping Dach can turn it around in the dot because his game is suited for center ; he's relentless and show glimpses of excellent 2 way playing.
1st (Florida) + Harris (decent 5 potentially 4 defenseman) + Ylonen(speedy 3rd line with maybe a little bit of potential)/Mesar/Beck?
Thats a 1st + 2 2nd or even 2 late first + a 2nd.
What would you guys think?
Yes that’s the plan.I guess if your long-term plan is to use sub-40 point players in your Top 6, then ok, you will be “fine”.
Hard pass then. Go to Boston.Apparently he wants 8yrs 9M+ and he prefers a contender. He'll also want some say where he plays.
I'm sure Habs fans are rooting for this to be right, but the reporting seems to indicate you may be a few days behind...this time the shoe is on the other foot. for years players used the habs to get better offers from other teams and some demanded trades right after signing a new deal ( petry) NOBODY was crying for the habs NOBODY! well for once its the habs turn. PLD wants to play in MTL and thats it. he is close to being a full UFA with arms waiting in MTL. I don't care what the JETS demand it's going to be what habs offer OR NOTHING and get PLD for free soon enough. No other team will step in and get PLD for a 1 year only deal for a huge bunch of assets. PLD wont sign a new long deal with ANYBODY until its MTL. After the
Caufield contract PLD knows exactly what the 8 year contract will be in MTL Same as Suzuki and Caufield.
Most Habs fans don’t care if he’s acquired or not. He comes across as a primadonna.I'm sure Habs fans are rooting for this to be right, but the reporting seems to indicate you may be a few days behind...
i wanted Dubois but not at 9Mill if thats what he wants then pass hes not worth that
He has a career high 63 points, that is barely 1st line numbers these days, that is not a 8.5M player. And how he has gone about his career, he probably won't settle for a dime less than he wants. If his initial ask is 9 it means he'll probably get 8-8.5 which is fine

woudlnt mind 8 but he has a career high of 60 points he needs to relaxIf his initial ask is 9 it means he'll probably get 8-8.5 which is fine
did they confirm how much for 2024 ?Y’know, the salary cap will start increasing quite a bit a year from now. $9M today isn’t going to look so much part way through the contract.
I know we’ve had a flat cap for awhile now and settled on player contract values but people should realize that times are changing fast.
