A few proposals:

To Boston: PLD
To Wpg: Frederic + 2025 1st + Grzelcyk (or Reilly)

To Montreal: PLD
To Wpg: 1st (FLA 2023), 2nd (MTL 2023), Beck

To Colorado: PLD
To Winnipeg: 1st (2023), Newhook

Originally when Winnipeg was shopping laine around the offer was boeser for laine. Benning at that time turned it down. Might be revisited. Minnesota is near Winnipeg. They might have interest with boeser still.

Won’t need him when we trade for Carter Hart
Doesn't make sense. Hughes said point of extending Allen was because he is good working with young goalies ie. Monty, Billington. Why trade Allen when Hart has been struggling? Habs be shooting themselves in foot. They get more value out of Hart with Allen mentoring him.

Going back to his last year in junior (2017) he has requested three trades and will be on his fifth team before he starts his 8th year, I feel sorry for any team that signs him long term because I doubt he’ll change his attitude.

THIS.

DO. NOT. WANT.

Montreal would be stupid to pay for PLD. They can just wait a year and get him for free. The only scenario where I can see Montreal trading for him is if Armia+Hoffman is dumped in that trade. With a 1st + A-prospect ofc.
I see it more likely that PLD would be a 1yr rental for teams like Avs, Blues, Devils or Canes.

I doubt it’s 100% just Montreal for him

Obviously u know nothing about Montreal if u think the nightlife here sucks our city is horrible for alot of things but we for sure are among the best for clubs and restaurants old port MTL has some of the nicest places ive seen and im born in Toronto and been to NYC a million times cant speak for Chicago never been

I never said it sucks but ok.

Montreal does not need to pay valuable assets for PLD. They should just acquire Halak cheaply. Sign Ryder to a cheap two-way deal. Then trade Halak + Ryder and a second for PLD. No way I offer more than that.

I didn't read the whole thread (or the many others) but are there credible reports that Dubois wants to go to Montreal?

If I wear him I'd pull a Tkachuk and go to a low tax, good weather team with a chance to win. I can't even imagine the pressure and fishbowl in Montreal for a French-Canadian player especially. Clearly this guy wants to go somewhere in particular. Maybe its Montreal but it wouldn't be for me in his shoes.
Imo Dubious wants to get to a club via trade before he’s a UFA so he can have leverage to get maximum dollar. Exactly the Horvat path.

I guess Ill tell the whole culinary world theyre wrong, lol...

Dude, you're delusional if you think the whole culinary world thinks Montreal has literally the best food in North America.

NYC has 5 of the top 100 restaurants in the world in 2022. Montreal has literally zero. That's not my personal opinion. That's a ranking you can google.. based on culinary experts opinions.

You clearly need to get out more. Lmao

As an Oiler fan I would offer Yamamoto with 75% retained. Winnipeg has to pay the 2nd team for the extra retention. Another way to put this is don't want the player unless he is given away and then I only take him to flip him to Montreal at a profit Bern style .

Steve Yzerman should be making a phone call at the very least.

Lots of picks/prospects.

An we're not even talking about barbeque yet...

You know how it is, little maple syrup in the boys with some gravy fries and they get jumpy up north. ;)

As a Habs fan I worry that if he does end up being traded to Montreal this will turn into another Drouin. I don't mean he will flop like Drouin but that whatever the Habs give up in a trade will haunt them as overall do better than what he would do as a member of the Habs...

He's such a POS
How old are you? Maybe you don't remember there was a time players would sit out to start the season WHEN THEY HAD A CONTRACT, to get a new one or be traded.

Heck I guess Lindros is a massive POS then right he refused to go to Quebec City after being drafted 1st overall.

Coffey opted to hold out with the hope of renegotiating the remaining two years on his five-year deal with the Oilers. Making $325,000 at the time, Coffey was looking for something in the range of $600,000-to-$800,000.

etc etc
