Anderson is just a complementary piece to a playoff team in their bottom six, problem is his contract, NTC and the Jets aren’t a playoff team so he’s pointless to them IMO
I think us fans expecting youth back view him as pointless. Not so sure that's how our GM and owner see it...

Im sure management did want a restructure, but I suspect that was assuming Helle extended……..not so sure now, looks like rebuild is required bc helle is gone. So Anderson just becomes a waste of cap space and contract on the team at this stage.

He would be better going to a team like the Leafs IMO

Jets could always do a Helly to someone and use some of those assets to acquire Carter Hart.

If we went full rebuild, with the assets we have combined with taking on cap for a price… we could make a killing and get a huge haul in assets back, both picks and prospects

“I think they have leaned in very hard. If they haven’t made an offer, they have let jets know ‘we are in, and we are willing to make this work.’” about the kings

100% agree, I’ve wanted a rebuild from the start no freaking restructure

So much for 95% chance of Dubois going to Montreal.

What does the mean do you? Trading our quality mid-20s players like Ehlers, Connor and Morrissey over the next two years so we can dumpster dive for high draft picks?

I laughed so hard when Darren D mocked Friedman for saying 95%, it was funny
Heh, must have missed that.

But like Fridge said, everyone lies so a lesson to everyone that what we read may not be the gospel truth.

Best news possible for this Habs fan. Now all I want to see is the "confirmed with link" that it is a done deal

Restructure is only viable if you get competitive pieces back otherwise we just become a worst version of what we were already. Im sceptical we can get good win now pieces back.

Rebuild is assuming we can’t achieve above, I’m thinking that’s most likely outcome.

In the end there is no black and white outcomes here. Even if we get more futures like return I don’t expect a guy like KC or Josh to be traded….Ehlers maybe.

I will say a trade with LA could work very nicely they have s9me good pieces both win now and futures

Yes I think Beck + 31 + 37 + Ylonen is a very valuable package

Ylonen is 23 and still can't stick in the NHL even on one of the weakest teams in the league. There isn't much value there.

Beck put up 1.1 points per game in the OHL last year. Players that can't score in the OHL rarely accomplish anything in the NHL. He still has time, but he needs to take a MAJOR step forward next year or you can essentially write him off as a prospect. At this point he's comparable to guys in the Jets system like Danny Zhilkin or Fabien Wagner. They all have good 2-way games, look to have good skillsets but haven't been able to accomplish much offensively.

31OA and 37OA have some value but it's not huge.

“Tons of risks” lmao It automatically becomes 4 of your 5 best under 27 pieces and maybe even your 5 most valuable since Pefertti is really struggling both offensively and defensively and could very well flop

LOL What?

Perfetti has been fantastic and led all Jets forwards in xGA/60 last year.

Beck barely makes it into the Jets top-10 prospects let alone the top 5 under under 27 players. Barron is interesting, but he's basically in the same range as Samberg and Heinola. Being a RHD does help though.

Cgy and Fla 1st round picks are ok, but I'm not sure how they become "best under 27" pieces for the Jets.

Yah....Habs never do this lol

Barron and Beck are no go.

Horvat was traded for a 1st B prospect and cap dump. PLD value is the same.

FLA 1st in 2023 or CGY 1st top 15 protected
Mysak/Kapanen/Harris/ any prospect not named Hutson Beck Kidney Mailloux Barron
Cap dump (Dvorak is the same as Beau)

Is going to be the best package Habs put forward for a 60pt 2nd line C who'll be asking for 8+
You keep repeating this drivel.

The 17th pick>>>>than the 31st pick
Aatu Raty is not a B prospect.
Horvat is almost 4 years older.
And you keep talking down Dubois as a player when he would be one of the Habs top 3 talents.

Plus it's widely known and accepted (via LeBrun in the Athletic) that there were no extension talks prior to the Horvat deal whereas PLD is coming with an 8 year deal that takes him to the end of his prime.

Makes you wonder if it's reading comprehension, language barrier or just plain trolling with some of these posters
