That's a ridiculous statement with nothing to back it up. Spence has put up higher numbers at every level. Durzi has better NHL numbers

Wrong. Numbers DO matter when trying to predict the success of NHL defenseman. Besides, you haven't watched Spence and durzi either

If Spence is the best you can get you should just target something else and focus on drafting RHD in the next two years.

Brandt Clark, Jordan Spence and Helge Grans are all very good prospects. This is in addition to Drew Doughty, Matt Roy and Sean Durzi playing in the NHL. Even assuming they need to replace Doughty soon the Kings have more RHD in their system then they have spots for.

Not the major issue here though as the Jets would be looking for Centers first. Fans disagree but TBH I don't think the Jets organization sees RHD as a partiular need. The are happy with Schmidt, Pionk and DeMelo and likley Heinola playing his off side next year.

If he is viewed so negatively I also said we could do Hoffman, which is one year at 4.5 million.

Great. Keep him. OK with Hoffman as the cap dump, but for anything longer than a year, you're paying for it.

Why should it matter? You're gonna trade Dubois, Shaffle and Wheeler and you're gonna have a ton of cap space.

I think it's better for both Montreal and Winnipeg that he goes to LA. Better return for Winnipeg than Montreal is apparently willing to offer, and Montreal can carry on with future All-Star Kirby Dach and Suzuki and Caufield and whoever they get at #5.

His value is the same as Horvat. 1st + B prospect + Dump.

Even if je comes with an extension. He told everyone that he won't stay more than 1 year with the Jets. They either trade him for a similar value to Horvat.or lose him for nothing.
