He's borderline unstartable at this point. Where is he?? Completely invisible. -26??
In fairness to Bath, the impact of missing Josh Norris has become incredibly evident. The stü, Tkachuk, and G line might be one of the best in the league, but it takes a team to win in this game. The other 9 just do not have enough. I love Pinto, but he isn't ready to be a 2nd line center. I feel like these past few games have also show the sens could really use a player like formenton on the 3rd line as well. Formenton may never be a top 6 player, but with his speed, skill, and physicality he could be one of the best 3rd liners in the league. While it is not possible to get Formenton back this season, Norris is necessary to make the Top 6 great. With just Norris back the sens are a lot better. While I do think Pinto makes the 3rd line better, I also think the lack of talent in the bottom 6 will hurt pinto a bit at the same time. Which is why I think getting Formenton back this off season is big. Pinto and formenton would make the 3rd line extremely competitive and that creates a balance the team just does not have. Goaltending and defense I really can't comment on as I have no idea how you improve there.

11 top 5 Selke finishes on that list...
Perhaps after the first round of the playoffs we will see some Leafs on the board.

With Norris back, Pinto will be on third line with Joseph and Motte; I would prefer Formenton to Motte and think it would be a VG third line.

And the wrister he rang off the post
He was -1. in an 8-4 loss . DeBrincat and Pinto were -5
Is there a stat available that assigns blame to on-ice team members when GA occur? It would be interesting to develop such a stat to replace the plus/minus system.

Forms Pinto Joseph would be a smoking third line. It's hard to know what's going to happen next year. Has Formenton served a one year suspension from the NHL because of his involvement? Has he been banished for life?

No he has not been "suspended" nor "banished for life". He got caught in a situation where he did not have a signed contract and might have been at the party in London, resulting in the team not offering a contract after he refused the "qualifying offer". At this time he has not been implicated publicly nor convicted of any crime.

yeah I knew that.
There seems to be a little more to his absence from the NHL this season. It seems to be more than just a contract dispute. Maybe I'm wrong, reading too much into it, but It's like he has been temporarily exiled to Europe.

Lol. Bath’s sub $5M a year salary while being a point per game range eases the pain a bit compared to some of the big salaries there. Someone like R’OR has been a selke calibre for most of his career.

To me this list is showing top offensive players on bottom level teams. +/- to me is more a reflection of that in general. Bad 5v5 teams will have terrible +/-. They usually get beat in counterattacks nowadays in my observation.

Bath has all offence first mentality, the defensive part is coachable. It’s not like he is a one-dimensional scorer. He sets up nice plays and is a big body in the cycle. An important part of an emerging powerplay powerhouse, something we didn’t see since the CASH era of the last millennium.

Pinto could be getting a little tired, I doubt he has played 40 games in a season before & he is playing above where he should be taking on much more responsibility. While I think in the long term this will help him, I think at the moment he could be a little overwhelmed. When Norris gets back I expect Pinto to get a second wind at some point.

Totally agree with your assessment of Pinto. I suspect he is learning a lot playing 2C and think he will come back next season in even better shape and addressing some of his short-comings such as first 3 step quickness, speed and physical play. I expect him to get much better after his rookie season.

He needs to be stronger and he's probably just learning this. And it's always better to train than rehab
