I seriously don't want McDavid to suffer the same fate as Patrick Ewing did altogether, and this is coming from a hometown fan of both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Kings! The NY Rangers are guilty by association with the NY Knicks, by virtue of having the same owner and home arena.

Going back on topic, I consider it a blessing in disguise the Kings missed the 2015 NHL Playoffs, given the depth of this draft year.
