Let's have these words minted and presented again when we read "SignPanarin & Karlsson".I'm not saying next year. This is a rebuild. Patience is the key.

2 & 22 this year and 5 & 10-15 next year? I may be very well ok with that.Well if we're talking 10-15 next year, probably.
If we're talking 15-20, maybe not.
Craig Button was on a Hawks podcast. Hawks Talk Podcast. NBC Sports Chicago.
Button thinks Zegras is the best center behind Hughes.

If Zuc resigns with Dallas and we get their 1st next year, is it lottery protected?
The one thing that keeps coming into this as a potential monkey wrench for me is Florida. They have Hoffman as a near equivalent to kreider. If Edmonton, Anaheim or Vancouver want a wing, 1 year from UFA, costing about $5m, and for the price of flipping 1sts... why are we winning that bid?
We do have the ability to take back cap, so that's a plus for Edmonton and Anaheim. Hoffman had/has the Ottawa drama. Is it enough to drop another 6 spots?
This has to be one of the weakest first rounds for defenseman that I can remember in quite some time.
After Byram the quality drops significantly.
It’s why I wouldn’t be shocked if a guy like Soderstrom or York snuck into the top-10.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Newhook slid to the 2nd round, despite having a great playoffs....

Looking into him more, I tend to agree. I could see him being like McAvoy is two years from now.York is a lot better than advertised!!

Now that I would find shocking.
The 20s I can see. But the 30s? I think that would be a travesty.
Hell, I don’t care if we take Zegras or Turcotte in the top 10 somehow, if Newhook is sitting there as the second starts, I’m picking up the phone again and seeing what we might be able to do.
IMO, he should go in the late 1st, but I'm just looking through past drafts and haven't seen a player out of the BCHL drafted in the 1st round since Fabbro in 2016. I don't think it's so far fetched. Newhook has lacked a physical prowess and mediocre performances defensively. The offense is there, but it's in a league much more known for offensive prowess. Not sure how he'll be in the NCAA.
It's like you didn't read my chart! With TB's exit, that 2nd round pick will be apx ov #?
Is their any reason why Dorofeyev was left off the U18 Russian roster?
