To be honest though, I don’t think Kaliyev is a Gorton/Clark type of player. Think they will want more speed/2-way type of players.
Here's the video....
From first to last....
1. Moritz Seider
2. Alex Newhook
3. Jack Hughes
4. Cole Caufield
5. Peyton Krebs
6. Ryder Donovan (the guy who bows)
7. Cade Webber
8. Philip Broberg???
9. Jordan Spence
Said it in the other thread but I’m really hoping Donovan impressed them enough for a draft pick. In my first round and he’s going to join K’Andre at Wisconsin next year
Agree with this. The focus at this point should be acquiring quality rather than quantity at this point in the rebuild. The mindset that's been shared for a while (and one I happen to agree with) is that they'd rather go with higher impact in this draft, than spread their bets out across multiple picks.
Obviously there's sometimes an ocean of difference between what we want to do and what we can do, but I'm fairly sure they're still picking up phones to see what options may be out there.
Wait What!?Said it in the other thread but I’m really hoping Donovan impressed them enough for a draft pick. In my first round and he’s going to join K’Andre at Wisconsin next year
I think it would be a wasted pick. Him and Donovan just seem like very poor choice with the amount of talent available.Well, we speculated for a few months about Cade Webber and his Penticton and BU connections, now we know he's at least on their radar.
I’d like to hear your reasoning, especially the boldedWait What!?
You have Donovan as a first round pick..?
I would be absolutley ragin' if we wasted a 1st on him. Anything less than a 7th is an overpayment.
There are so many talented players in this draft that he is ranked above.

I feel like I heard that a few weeks ago too. It’s possible, but I don’t think I’d personally take him in the top 10, would be great if he did go that high and pushed another guy further down thoughI pretty much just watch and read this thread but a question for our gurus...I've seen Bobby Brink seemingly climbing draft charts and I've heard some noise of him going as high as top 10. Anything to this?

Hell, if a team likes him that much, there’s a potential trade up partner tooThat's what I am thinking.

He is a high school player who is playing against kids. Not Juniors, kids!
The level he plays at and his offensive game is very meh for a draft pick. He does not stand out in any way.
The only thing he has is his speed and height. He is even very light for his height.
Im just not a fan that is all and think there are players who are much better for us to draft.
I think he’s a guy you can’t rule out in the mix for pushing someone out of the top 10, though I think that might be a bit of a stretch personally.
But the 11-15 range? Yeah, I think that’s a distinct possibility.
So, is Cozens a possible faller?
Improved point per game from 1.19 to 1.62
