On the new 32 Thoughts Podcast, Friedman said the belief is Yzerman is looking for a D. He believes we were in on Lindgren, and previously in on Will Borgen.

What happened to him?
They're pulling a Vegas and LTIR guys so they can add guys and bring their injured players back during the playoffs. It's a scummy loophole the NHL needs to fix. They are(Panthers) legitimate dirt-bags right now.

I also don't really believe Yzerman was in the race for anything trade wise. He might have called to see if rubbing two pennies gets a nickel out of them, but IMO serious talks weren't had. Either guy could have been traded for easy long ago if Yzerman was at all serious. Friedman losing all creditability this year too, he just talks with no real rumors ever.

Dude he was back on the ice no time

Unless they lied and it wasn’t broken
We also don't know to what degree it was broken. We don't ever really get details in the NHL now and there are a lot of factors at play. Was it a singular break, was it a hairline, was it a clean break, was there any other damage to the area when the bone was broken.

Separations are another one we usually just have a general designation for, but there are actually 6 grades with differing severity.

With that said I do think these guys already being in great shape, having their nutrition monitored, seeing the best specialists in the world, and having dedicated rehab specialists allows them to return faster than your average person. There isn't millions of dollars in incentives to monitor your average person on a day to day basis when injured. Not to mention that a lot of these guys just play through the pain by taking a ton of painkillers.

I really want to see us go after Kyrou. We have the assets and the space. 2026 1st, Mazur, Veleno (trying not to include Kasper,Danielson Asp,Cossa,MBN,Buchelnikov) and whatever else they want...

These are elite athletes with access to the best medical care in the world. They don't need the normal time to recover that you or I would.

Look at ovie, broke his leg 4 weeks later was back on the ice scoring goals
Everyone has access to elite health care. A prince from Saudi Arabia was across the hall from me at Cleveland clinic.

The difference is they have elite bodies while mine is below average at best and scraping the bottom at worst.

Heard Bruins want a 2nd for Frederic I wonder if they'd do a 3rd and get a younger roster player in veleno back as well

Give the Canucks a mid pick for soucy, call up mazur

Kasper Larkin raymond
Debrincat frederic kane
Soderblom Rasmussen tarasenko
Berggren compher mazur
Motte Fischer

Chiarot seider
Edvinsson johansson
Soucy gustafsson

Put a big body in frederic 2 help and protect kane and debrincat. I know they wont call up mazur but I would

4th line with compher mazur might actually produce some key goals as well

I would also add that tissue damage/injuries are a completely different animal than broken bones. Unless you're talking about a severe, severe shattering of the bone, like what happened to Grigorenko with his car accident back in the day, a broken bone is a pretty well-established "this is the problem, this is the recovery time." Tissue issues can be all over the map as far as even pinpointing what the exact problem is, what needs to be done to treat it, and how long it is going to take.

Bones don’t heal any faster for 39 year old Ovie than they do a 20 year old college student in average shape. Also, Ovie missed 16 games, forget the specific dates but it was 7-8 weeks, not 4.

He was off a grand total of 5 weeks. So I was off a bit just by recollection. He broke his leg Nov 18, 2024 against Utah.

He was playing dec 23, 2024 against Boston.

Whether or not his bones healed faster or not doesn't really matter. It's the rehab and conditioning that these athletes have access to and top medical professionals that speeds up the process.

Why would Frederic bounce Compher from 2nd line? He has 15 pts.

Where did you hear that they want a 2nd?

I feel like he will stand pat. I don't see a move out there that makes sense from what the reported asking prices are. Is a lower end move worth making when you have guys in GR?

Dream move is we somehow get Rantenen for a prospect and a pick but that's not gonna happen...

I dont remember been watching too many videos and podcasts ... I can't see how they get a 1st

heard now Edmonton might look to move kane if he comes back before the season cause they were counting on his money to make moves

He has one year left and if we took him on for free I'd take him. I know ppl will complain about his attitude but we can use a power forward like him

Be more the endless bottom 6 guys I'd be trying to part with. 1 year 5 mill I'd do it

And if we suck next year or just try and move him for whatever reason and hes producing at 2.5 mill we'd get a good return

Could be an option
