Podkolzin only puts in the effort when he's wearing the national team colors. I value league performance over short sample size international tournaments and Podkolzin was not great in the MHL or VHL. Lazy player

Glad you mentioned the combine and how its important for teams to have info down the line when these players may be available for trade or as a free agent.

I don't agree with your opinion on Podkolzin. The Gusev comparison is not a good one. Gusev was a small 7th round forward. Every 1st round Russian player comes over. 2 to 4 years. He will drop unless a top ten team takes a mighty big swing for the fences. I can see teams like Pittsburgh and Washington making moves to trade up to get him. Maybe the Kings too with their second 1st rounder.

If Soderstrom/Broberg are off the board then Seider-York-Harley-Heinola-Kolyachonok-Bjornfot.

Is he going CHL or NCAA? I haven't seen anything that proves where he's headed next season....
