I hope that works out for Nuke.
But drugs are about the only thing to do in Columbus.

R and R are cheaper and better, which should be a good sign that they can fetch more than this.
Are they? Feels like this just set the value for those two.
I'm actually fascinated to see this Nichushkin return for Colorado because I think he's probably the most Rakell-adjacent forward that's been traded in a while. Granted their play styles aren't that similar, but they're both similarly talented 2nd line wingers coming off a ~50 point season in their early 30s signed for term. Granted Nuke is 2 years younger, but he's also signed for 2 more years and costs $1 million a year more.
And there we have it and I think this is a pretty accurate estimation of what Rakell's value would be.
Yeah but there is one kinda big difference between them Emp.

It's kinda wild that Nuke is two years YOUNGER than Raks. He seems like he's been in the league a while for whatever reason.
Nuke in Columbus, interesting fit. Seems to be indicating that Marchment is gone.
Fine, I'll just stay in South Carolina. The only dude from Pittsburgh that I want to come back is Cooley.
What kind of hours do NHL front offices keep? Like I'm on west coast time but even for me these moves all come noon or later. These guys on a noon to 9pm work schedule or what?
They also have to shed salary to pay Makar. Not a bad move by Colorado. That 2nd and even 3rd can help them get 1-2 additional players that they need to round out the roster. Their forward group ain't bad, it's the defense they need to bulk up a bit. I imagine they try to resign Kulak now.

I remember the news that Iginla was not going to Boston but here instead breaking at like 2am EST
50 point player for 6M vs 70 point players for 5MAre they? Feels like this just set the value for those two.
Yep. Was on pacific time then too and remember seeing that break in bed.I remember the news that Iginla was not going to Boston, but here instead, breaking at like 2am EST
I would offer 8x10. If we got him. Also FWIW, the unverified rumor going around Twitter with Nikishin is that he's being shopped because he's asking for way more money than Carolina wants to pay him and isn't interested in giving Carolina a discount.
Hm, I wonder if there was a LD needy team with a ton of cap space to pay Nikishin and a desire to acquire mid-20s players with upside? I can't think of a good fit for that.
Cool, welcome to the Penguins.
A third an a fifth combined have like a .05% chance of seeing NHL ice. I can't put myself in a spot to care. That said, being critical of Dubas for the obsession with AHL-caliber players is very warranted. It's followed him since Toronto. We'll see where this one goes. Gotta hope for the best of course.
Not that Kypreos has any credibility
Same.I'm not expecting anything from Dubas.
Epic day for online pens communityBy like... Ray Shero's kid or some shit IIRC
Fair, as of now they'd have $40mil in space. Doable. Wouldn't shock me to see him take the exact deal MacKinnon got. 7x12.5 (or 12.6mil). Might be tough to ask for more than what NateDawg is getting. They also have to shed salary to pay Makar.
Oh damn I should have checked before I said that.Fair, as of now they'd have $40mil in space. Doable. Wouldn't shock me to see him take the exact deal MacKinnon got. 7x12.5 (or 12.6mil). Might be tough to ask for more than what NateDawg is getting.
Min two 2nds, but I'd be aiming for a late 1st. I'm still hoping we can package Rakell and 22 to go up into the low teens. While I'd be shooting for a bit more for Rakell and think they could get a tad bit more for Rakell than what Nuke brought back, I would have ultimately taken that trade if the Jackets offered it for Rakell.
To be fair, lot's of guys off the books in that $40mil, including Makar. But it goes away pretty fast. Smart of them to grab a couple of these younger RFAs like L'Heureux and Svechkov.Oh damn I should have checked before I said that.
I didn't realize they had so much space.
