that is what he said before Friday, when the impending penalty for the Dadonov trade was publicly known… it was a game changer.
I think we are talking about different things here. I was responding to another poster. Both of us were talking about what you said.

I had a (red dot) notification, and it linked me to your reply, to the other poster?

Bruce saya Darche is a top candidate.

Andlauer did start his presser in French so that has to be a top consideration for him especially since his French is good he’s put in the work

Darche seems like the perfect fit age wise with Staois there as the experienced Exec.

Time to finally start the new era for this Sens team.

Important they make the playoffs and get that experience. Test the goalies and the players and the coach - let’s see where the real stress points are for this team

Honestly I was kind of confused at that. Ottawa is a English first city. But it makes sense in a way. Dorion kind of gave the French fans/media a bit of a connection with the team. Doing that kind of shows he isn't forgetting about them.

Now do i think bilingualism should be a top consideration or a consideration in the next GM. Absolutely f***ing not. Get the best candidate for the job.

I hope whoever is hired takes a look at Dave Poulin as either an AGM or advisor.. I love his morning hits on 1200

Would Dean Lombardi also be available? I believe he is currently working with the Flyers.

Personally i liked listening to Pierre McGuire more. Did he turn out to be a good exec? who knows? Its rumoured the Boucher pick and Del Zotto signing were him. Its really grey what he actually did if anything.

Garrioch backing Andlauer on both Dadonov and Pinto situations.
He's the most nervous man in Ottawa now. I hope to God he's the next to get the axe.

Garrioch reporting Darche is a top candidate

Doesn't have a big track record, but on the other hand he doesn't have a bad track record like Chiarelli.
I mean Garrioch's 'insider's info is absolutely useless now. He doesn't have anyone feeding him now that Dorion is gone. He should be black balled.

Andlauer's presser was really good. Justifiably angry at how everything was handled. Protecting Pinto from the bullshit where the league and casinos promote the living shit out of gambling and then they suspend him 41 games for gambling on sports as if billions hasn't been spent over the decades to find the perfect formulas to get someone from Pinto's demographic (young, male) to spend money on gambling apps.

Glad Dorion is gone. Now we can start the process of moving on.

I want someone to look at me the way Micheal Andlauer was looking at Ian Mendes.

that will change, the Ontario government passed new rules. As of February. new rules are in. they are disallowing celebrities (I am not sure if all or just sports stars) from advertising. And other rules.

Sports wagering may look differently in 2024 and beyond

Time for Ian to reach out to all the people who left the organization during Pierre's Reign of Error for an insider view of the 8 years of massive incompetence.
Just finished listening to Coming in Hot podcast with Wallace and guest Shawn Simpson. That very topic came up. No specifics as to what was said, but a long list of former players who didn't have nice things to say about PD. Also speculation on the others who left (McGuire, Mann, McTavish).

Andlauer didn't have much of a choice after losing the first rounder, that's a big hit to take.

Clean slate for Staios.

Contracts have to be filed with the league. But you're right, the league should provide a central app. An app with that level of functionality could be built in days
Exactly the point and very much what I was suggesting. I know the league may well have PDF copies of the contracts on file for legal purposes, but I was referring to a central registry (for teams, not public) of players and contract terms that all teams could leverage. They could even shield some details within that are only to be disclosed to trading teams, for example, if the player wants to keep named restricted or approved trade teams private.
