I don't like the Hyman - Matthews - Marner line. I'd rather have Hyman on the third line, I think that's where he shines.
Give him some slack?I don't recall Freddy ever having a stretch this bad. Keefe said he's been 'dealing with some things.' I'm willing to cut the guy some slack in light of the stellar play he's been giving the Leafs up until now. I know what he's capable of and I expect him to get back to that level. Maybe the Leafs should run with Campbell when he's back and give Freddy some rest.
Looks li Keefer lost confidence in his #2 Center. He was on Mathews line a lot in the 3rd period. The biggest reason Dubois wanted out of Columbus was because of money...he ain't getting JT money because he's not a UFA and not nearly as good.

Honestly wonder if players were to have accidentally on purpose sort of incidents with these zebras that they would look to change things. Them not doing their jobs affects players safety. Just throwing it out there
Maybe not but you can use the difference in cap to upgrade further. The biggest reason Dubois wanted out of Columbus was because of money...he ain't getting JT money because he's not a UFA and not nearly as good.
They were cruising atop the division for weeks, dominated the second place Oilers and now face their biggest divisional threat.
Last time he was "stellar" for more than a game or two in a row was 18/19.
He's 31 with chronic groin injuries and severe concentration/confidence problems, I'll let you guess which direction his career is going from here.
That's Raycroft territory. But at least Raycroft made some timely saves that season when he had 36 wins.
1st goal he was blinded by a light in the raftersCan't wait for the goal-by-goal excuses for Freddy.
I think maybe I need to explain my Freddy position better. Some people seem to imply he's just one more player and his contribution is no different than any other player's. I absolutely don't see it like that. I see it as sometimes the team bails the goalie out and sometimes the goalie bails the team out. Fred *never* bails the team out. Ever. Ever ever. In fact, it's the exact opposite. He lets them down over and over.
Andersen's always been mentally soft but now he's also just not very good either. He's a below average starting goalie, who is mentally soft.Andersen and Raycroft have the same mental softness. No need to build up one to tear down the other.
The Leafs seemed to enjoy playing in front of Campbell and to a lesser extent Hutchinson. With Andersen is very much walking eggshells.
