Not being happy after a loss is fine, but sometimes the reactions are a weeeeeeeeee bit over the top  Hope life is going well for you wherever you are :)
How long have you been a leafs fan? I've been seeing this script for 51 years. Life is good , I got into bitcoin a couple if months ago and at least that was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

What did everyone think of the two the Leafs scored?

Asking for a friend.

NO we were NOT the better team,,Goalies ARE PART OF THE TEAM!

It's no different if our star center wins the game or the star tender
Leafs were pretty easily better in the first 2 games. The goalie position is different, unlike other positions, it can bury you if mistakes are made.

Keefe basically begged Dubas to make a move in the post game interview

subtle but it was there

"we dont have any flexibility to make any roster changes for tomorrow"

Lolz is that a shot for trading Lehtonen

2/3 s of the league is at 27 gp or under ,,so i set the bar for starting tenders at 12 gp ,,to cover the teams that do a 60/40 split

Fred is sub .900 on the season and sits 31 rst sv% if this game dips it to .898%

he has the 31 rst best save % among the starters,,,,,,let,,,that,,,,sink,,,,in !!! 31 rst

I just went through all his goals and it turns out most came on scoring chances, can't blame the goalie for that they're only expected to stop dump ins.

I know where this is going.

Please, by all means, defend our sub .900 starter.

I will note that Brossoit allowing two weak-ish goals doesn’t make Andersen’s shite play any better. This whataboutism is embarrassing and just goes to show how hard the barrel has to be scraped to defend Andersen. “Well the other teams backup allowed some soft goals, so we shouldn’t hold our starter to a high standard.”

Ha ha, good one. Leaf fans accept losing too easy. If they play hard and lose, fine wasn't your night. What we see in a lot of losses is still Lack Of Effort. That's a problem.

I don't think that has been the case at all this year.

I don't question their effort tonight. They were just not good. It happens. They were great against Edm. Better than Vancouver, and way better than the Jets for the first two games.

Sometimes in sports it just doesn't click for whatever reason.

A great team will play like the Leafs did rhe first two games of the set 75% of the time and that is considered consistent.

I've been afflicted by Leafitis for the better part of 61 years, saw the last cup win in 67 sitting beside my dad, who was a Habs fan. Bitcoin...I remember talking with some friends about it back in 2010, said it would go as far as people wanted it to go, simply a matter of confidence. They disagreed. I didn't buy. It's amazing how stupid and smart I can be at the same time. Good for you!

No defending Andy tonight. He pretty much said he was not good enough tonight. Luke Fox talking about the possibility of Andy playing through a LBI. It could explain why he looks defeated after most goals.

Don't blame Andersen. Leafs need to win every game in a blowout. It's not his fault he allows goals, okay?

When have games ever been close in the playoffs? They are always lopsided games. Leafs just need to play better every game.
I don't know about you, but HAVING TO score 4 or more goals in EVERY Andersen start seems like a pretty poor strategy.

Especially when the Leafs have outplayed the opposition in 3 of the last 4 games while Andersen continues to be the second best goalie on the ice every game.

They were insufficient.

This team has a real aversion to hard work, and to dirty, grindy type of games.
Winnipeg tried to match them offensively and got blown to smithereens.
Winnipeg tried to suffocate and stifle the Leafs, and they did it well enough to win without the help of the pathetic zebras out there.

This has been this team's Achilles, as has been the same for many skilled teams in the past (Ottawa of the 2000s, Ovechkin's Capitals forever, etc), and will continue to be our downfall unless it is addressed.
The team is in desperate need of Simmons' return.

Also, someone fire up contract talks with Freddy. The numbers are starting to speak for themselves here.

A multi-year, sub 3 million dollar deal should look like found treasure to him right now, the way he's playing.

you do know how nuts this sounds right??

they came into OUR BARN and earned 5 out of 6 points,,,,,, but ,,,,,,,,,we were,,,, "pretty easily better"???

again,,,,,, tenders,,,,,, are part of the team,,,,,,,,they are not some appendage

There's a goalie cult around here

I don't understand how people can't see a sub 900 starter is a serious problem if you like winning

No more man, Andersen blows and he deserves every bit of criticism coming to him

This needs to be the lowpoint of the season, and not just one of them.

I've found myself thinking 'this is the type of test they need' a few times already this season. Despite some positive outcomes, I haven't been able to shake the thought that they still 'need' the test, versus just facing the test and I'm left asking the questions again and again. How far have they really come from the inconsistent play of last season? Obviously there are mitigating factors in tonight's performance, but the question lingers.

Freddy may be creeping up the list, but your quote is the number one concern I have about this team.

Well Keefe himself alluded to the point he wants to see more consistency in play.

He’s done Tone. Had a couple good seasons here but never delivered in the post season and is putting up Garret Sparks types numbers this year.

Needless to say, a successful Cup winner needs everything to click. Nothing more important than a goalie.

I won't look past the last two Cup champs TB and St.Louis. In 2018-2019, Binnington had a .927 SV% in the regular season and .914 in the playoffs. The 2019-2020 TB Lightning saw Vasi with a .917 and .927 respectively.

I didn't go further back, it was just for reference. Bottom line, a goalie needs to be tuned in or no team can expect to succeed on a consistent basis. An extra goal every game or two is the difference between winning and losing.

I won't throw Andersen under the bus, but, if he isn't going to be the goalie he was, we need someone who will be. He was lights out a 2-3 years ago. It's a shame our team wasn't good enough in front of him. They are better today. He must be as well, or, other goalies need to be rotated in and you go with the hot hand. There was a time that there was far more parity in splitting the goalie duties, you simply ride the hot hand. Nothing wrong with this.

The franchise can't worry about hurt feelings or politics. There are many livelihoods on the line if a team fails vs if it succeeds.

If Andersen was anywhere close to average in the last 4 games, this team wins all 4 games rather than only 1.

You were fortunate enough to see the Leafs win a cup!!! I on the other hand have never seen the Leafs even participate in a Stanley Cup final. Ugh
