Carol Alt glowed. Literally could see her from anywhere you sat back then. Felt quite cool being in the same “room” with her rooting for the same side. Pretty sure me and a buddy once have her a flower. Though it may have just been something we said we’d do and never got around to doing.
She absolutely did - accurate description!

40 is actually a millennial on every chart and 26 isn’t. Lmao

People use the phrase millennial really incorrectly though, it’s used as a synonym for young person and somehow kept sliding to the point where people are still calling teenagers millenials.

Good stuff - explains my brother a tee goddammit- makes sense now .

Thank you for this. Thank you.

I literally had to make a name in order to say this because nobody else did.

Too many people were bitching about Lafreniere's goal the other night from Zibanejad not even realizing that's how Kreider has f***ing scored most of his goals this year.

Like, come on.

A goal is a goal, whether Lafreniere is sniping them or getting garbage goals. It shows a knack for knowing where to go, and it's not as if his shot is lacking either. He's got one of the best shots on the team.

I love that the second Kreider goal, he didn't even shoot it. The puck hit his stick with such force, all he had to do was hold on and it just f***ing shot itself in. In slow motion, and he just kind of watched in amazement.
His face says it all.
I actually like the PBP guy Bob Whatshisname, I think he’s good. I hate Boucher and Mleczko is just kind of blah.

Christ and now Buccigross in the postgame the FIRST thing he says is that the Rangers are bad against playoff teams and then reads out an incorrect record for good measure, he said they’re now 9-12-1 but they were 9-11-1 going into tonight so they’re actually 10-11-1. That’s a third of their wins on the season. Is that really that bad?

7-2 vs top 4 teams in the Atlantic too.

10-4 vs playoff teams with Shesterkin in net.

Wouldn’t want the facts to get in the way of the narrative though.

I’m seeing it totally differently. In thirty plus years as a Rangers fan Trouba’s season stands out to me. He’s playing so big and bad. The Rangers have had a number of great offensive defensemen but this kind of savage, we never get. I’m loving every minute of it and to me he’s as important as anyone to this teams future.

Slashed Gudas and got in Marchment’s face after the Strome hit. The rangers are a better team when they play angry and Trouba is a big reason why

Did Strome earn some respect on this board?

The play on the empty net, Panarin looking for Kreider to get his hatty. Kreider slows down cause he wants Panarin to have it. Panarin when celebrating "WHAT, WHAT, WHY YOU NO WANT HATTY?" haha amazing!

What a game. That 3rd period was one of the best periods we've seen in a long time.
Laf (and Kakko)needs to stay in the top 6. One of his best games.
Good on Strome for rocking that dude.
1st line was fantastic.
Panarin reacting to Kreider not taking the hatty was hilarious.
Schneider looks like he belongs.

The officiating is still a joke.
What a terrible broadcast by ESPN. Was that Boucher? who refused to say anything positive about the Rangers. Loser.
I'm not sure the camera guy knew who the head coach was. Kept showing Mike Kelly.

1. strome
2. kreids
3. Igor

HM: Trouba, Zib and Goodrow.

Different team after the 1st, that 1st needs to be addressed, happens to often.

Statement win! I think this establishes this team as a top 3 Eastern Conference team. The best part of the game is the contributions up and down the lineup. Each guy was doing their role and it’s exactly what you as a fan should want to see and it’s exactly what the coaching staff wants to see.

It’s ok to celebrate the good times- as Rangers fans we know they don’t always occur!

I think there's a good point to be made that the Rangers are not yet consistent enough to be a true contender threat. They CAN play a good game and beat good teams, but they don't do it consistently enough and often rely too heavily on their goalie or some individual skill plays that might not be there when things get tight in the playoffs.

If they want to go deep in the playoffs they need to start bringing it like they did in the second half of this game and bring it far more often.

Part of that may still just be a learning process. If not, then you can bet Drury will continue to turn over the roster until he finds players who will bring that

Not yet consistent enough?? It’s January hockey— it’s a long season and it’s nearly impossible for an NHL player to get up for every single game and out forth amazing effort each night. Some people act like they’ve never played a long season of any sport— it’s down right impossible to be 100% on every night!

The key to seeing good teams and appreciating them is noticing what goes on when things are not smooth. The Rangers faced some less than great teams and struggled but it’s understandable because even within these games they still did enough to win one and had bursts in the others. Not every team is going to win and look superior to every team but this current group of Rangers have figured out how to win games even when their effort may not match where the fan base unrealistically thinks it should be. A win is a win and I’d really like to see people on here appreciate this team for what it is— an absolutely well coached, well comprised group that has a real chance at a playoff run!

Gauthier needs to find his motor if he wants to stay in the league. The dude is big and has wheels, but coasts and waits for the play to develop instead of keeping his feet moving and being aggressive.
It is just this reason he drew our first PP last night. By keeping his feet moving he draws a lot of penalties. We didn't score on that first one but, we did score on 3 of 5. Being how deadly our power play is, Gauthier moving his feet and drawing penalties is a huge asset.

Gauthier has been noticeable in a mostly-good way and that’s pretty impressive considering he only gets about 3 shifts a period. He has improved a lot with minimal action. I’m very happy with him.

Just what we all thought

1st period was abysmal... but they turned it around in the 2nd.

Special Teams and Igor as always but WE NEED TO STAY PHYSICAL. It's how you slow these types of teams down and wear them out
What have we learned about our Rangers as of now.........
We are better off starting SLOWLY and finishing strong
Then to start off quickly and going belly up?
Thus far, anyway.

So we beat the best team in the league, dominating them for the last 30 minutes. Doing it minus Kakko and Chytil. Most importantly doing it while missing Fox.

Oh yeah, but this team is terrible.
Yes, absolutely.......so happy right now.
Just one thing in all due fairness........the majority of Ranger domination really probably was because the Panthers collectively LOST their legs & brains. Last period of b2b, they were making bad passes, with many giveaways they didnt cough up earlier.
Credit to our good play.........but it was them as well.

I agree with you, but the kid is borderline useless in the other (important) aspects of the game. He really sucks at getting in on the forecheck, and he's not very good at applying pressure in the neutral and D zones. He's only good at forcing the issue when he has the puck on his stick. And while that's a great skill to have, there's almost nothing else he does well at the present time.
