I think it's a very debatable opinion.

I think the Rangers clearly like Schneider but he doesn't have the upside Lundkvist has.

I acknowledge someone is eventually getting moved but it should absolutely be held for a core piece return.

Says who? They are both mid/late 1st round picks and highly thought of prospects. Schneider is much bigger, more physical and smart and has scored 1 less point than Lundkvist in less than half the games. It's obvious he is more ready for the NHL game. I think Lundqvist is eventually moved for a top 6 forward, hopefully a center.

Quite the assumption being made that Trouba, a proven defender in this league and with a NMC, is going to be traded and replaced by “studs” aka unproven prospects. Quite the assumption.

Trouba's play continues to be slept on. By far our best defensive defenseman (that play on Reinhart to save a goal was HUGE), scoring at a 40+ pace and provides desperately needed intangibles with his hitting and leadership. Hes also stepped up in a huge way with Fox out.

I said to my brother before the season that Trouba needed to reach a Pietrangelo-type level this year, and hes done it. Hes a backbone type player; might not be the most talented guy, but without him everything seems to fall apart.

I'm sure he could. At that point, I think the team benefits greatly by playing a pure PMD like Jones.

Just got back from the game. Great game. First period we were bad, but thought we controlled play for the most part in the 2nd and 3rd. Great win going into the break.

Yeah I noticed that too. Thought I was seeing things since no call.

I saw one where the rangers were way offside too. There was no goal on the play but had there been it would have been a clear miss. Which sucks for both teams and the fans because it’s just killing time then.

The thing is after 25 games I didn't see any of the offensive potential from Lundkvist. I think Schneider has been better on both sides of the puck.

Me too!
I'm 40 and I just scrape into the Millenial side rather than Gen-x based on most interpretations.
Although the whole 'generation' thing pretty much seems like a wank to me...

Just had a feeling we’d take this one after our last game against FLA wasn’t very good.
1 thing you can say about Gallants rangers, they like to come back and play well after a poor showing.
We really haven’t had any long or a even a lot of losing streaks.... that has a lot to do with team pride imo...

He will not see the end of his contract here.

I’m seeing it totally differently. In thirty plus years as a Rangers fan Trouba’s season stands out to me. He’s playing so big and bad. The Rangers have had a number of great offensive defensemen but this kind of savage, we never get. I’m loving every minute of it and to me he’s as important as anyone to this teams future.

Carol Alt glowed. Literally could see her from anywhere you sat back then. Felt quite cool being in the same “room” with her rooting for the same side. Pretty sure me and a buddy once gave her a flower. Though it may have just been something we said we’d do and never got around to doing.

40 is actually a millennial on every chart and 26 isn’t. Lmao

People use the phrase millennial really incorrectly though, it’s used as a synonym for young person and somehow kept sliding to the point where people are still calling teenagers millenials.
