I disagree. He's a good 4th line player with a relentless motor and is physical.

You haven’t looked at who is on the fourth line of cup winners.

Even our Cup loser had guys like Pouliot and Moore who were better than Hunt clearly.

Special shoutout to the linesmen the last two games who need to gtfo of the league. Last night was the faceoff Nazi; tonight I think the guys were colorblind and didn't know which were the bluelines. Panthers were offsides like 7 times without a stoppage. Lazy me only took one screengrab tho:

Yeah I noticed that too. Thought I was seeing things since no call.

Schneider low key star of the game. He was out against the other teams best players all night and played really well

He has been outstanding. The thing I like about his game is that nothing he does seems like he's making some insane, extra effort. He's just this solid even just a few games in. The kid is only going to get better. Definite Trouba/MacTruck vibes.

He's been playing that way for about a month and wasn't bad before then.

Hes been awesome in all 3 zones all year, the points just took a little longer to come. Also up to 52% on faceoffs for those who care about that sort of thing.

That's why nyr is going to add prior to the deadline to push players down the chart and add depth. Hunt is a 13 or 14 forward to a playoff roster.

And I’m ok with that if we aren’t giving up firsts or premier assets.

So much different when they move their feet.

2 points….cool stuff.

Amazing isn't it. And better puck movement. Speed and transition. Just what the doctor ordered.

This team is happier playing against teams with iffy D (Panthers, non-playoff teams) than more compact teams like Calgary and the Canes (even Seattle eg). Once they are ready to go head to head with the Calgary and Canes type teams this team will be pretty complete.

Great game. Watched a canadian broadcast so I didn't have to listen to the ESPN+ clowns. Don't speak french but it was fine.

The passes by Mika and Stromer to Kreids for his 2 goal were beautiful. Love it when Strome gets physically engaged. Seems like he plays his best games when he does that. The Gordie Howe hattie would've been well deserved for Strome tonight.

Hard to believe the turn around this team made from the first period to the second. It was like Gallant flipped a switch in the locker room on the team between periods. I thought it was going to get ugly early. Even Igor looked kinda shaky in the first.

National embarrassment.

For the Panthers

and the espn in game play by play team. Who are also going to be the ASG team. ( Good thing I make most of my posts open to interpretations:naughty:). But I'm very happy to be wrong about my pre game feelings.

So while I did say the team f***ing sucked at the end of the first, IN MY DEFENSE, that was an emotional response to what had been a really bad string of performances. All year long I have been Mr. Positivity, though also acknowledging that the team needs to do things much better if they want to actually live up to their record. The last few games were really trying, though. I'm glad we were able to go into the break with an effort like this--this is the style I think we were designed to play and I believe we can play, especially if healthy and if we can add a piece or two.

It's like you memoryholed the last three games this team played but ok. Sure, this one game proves they are an amazing team. Best in the league. You've shown that this team has zero issues and this one game for sure proves it. Forget all the other games where they played like absolute garbage, this game proves it!
LMFAO you never cease to provide quality entertainment.

This team is so “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”.

BAD HOCKEY TEAM!!!! TONIGHT DOESNT COUNT!! ONLY LOOK AT THE LOSSES TO MINNESOTA AND CBJ. SEA WAS A BAD WIN. 64 POINTS , TEAM IS GARBAGE. EVERYONE BE MISERABLE AND STOP WATCHING.

oh wait, there is a 2 week break.

Hunts on pace for around 16 pts over a full season, has some pace and get retrieve a puck. Less experienced than some, but outside of Johnson and the legend of Maroon, I don't think he looks wildly out of place in this lineup (scientifically done by taking the 3 lowest TOI forwards in the final game of the SCF):

20-21 - Johnson, Joseph, Maroon
19-20 - Paquette, Volkov, Maroon
18-19- Blais, Edmundson, Maroon
17-19 - Djoos, Burakosky, Stephenson
