Lots of positives to take from that game. PK was huge, Igor was good. At 5v5 we generally carried play. Still think there's a lot of thinking going on getting used to the system but it's going well I think.
I like the physical stuff at the end, stuff like that early in the year helps galvanize the room early on.
I don't get the grousing about Wheeler and Bonino. Wheeler is perfectly fine in the role he's cast in right now and he's getting up to speed. It 's not like he's blocking anyone in the lineup, he wasn't even on PP2. He made some savvy veteran plays along the walls and a nice play late in the third on Cooley. His offesne will come. And with Bonino, he's a little slower than he used to be but I really don't have an issue with him. He's smart and his positioning is great so he's always where he needs to be when he needs to be there, even if he's slow. Compared to the last two guys we started a season with at 4C were Kevin Rooney and Ryan Carpenter it's an improvement, Bonino might as well be Bergeron compared to them.
