All I know is we need to get past the Cardinals. The cards are to the dodgers, what the hawx are/were to the kings.

I would love to see LA/LA world series.

The absolute punk job to the rest of the country, especially coming on the heels of an LA Stanley Cup title. :)

It's hard to believe that Weaver's angels #1 pitcher. Heck, he'd be #4 on the dodgers, maybe #3 at best. I can see a team like the angels making a run on Price. Or at least, they should.

Good

The last thing LA needs is any more Raiders fans. I would rather not have a team than have them back

I used to think this. But now I just want any football team here.

Raiders would be my last choice for a team, but I would welcome them (did I just write that?!)

I'm tired of having to go to San Diego to watch football. And win or lose, I don't even care what the Chargers do (until they move here that is).

This is worthy of an infraction. :)

I don't care how much I'd love to have an nfl team here in LA, I want no part of Da Raiders and DEFINITELY no part of their thuggish fanbase.

Going to a Raiders home game is like going to an open-air prison.

No thank you.

In the meanwhile, the @NHL twitter account is trolling the MLB trade deadline like no other:

Richards is the Halos #1.

And the Angels have a better record and don't play in the garbage NL West.

Go figure.

And Verlander is garbage, if his name was John Smith he probably wouldn't be considered for the Tigers playoff rotation. Amazing what losing a couple mph can do to a power pitcher.

Easy there sunshine. I wasn't harping on your halos. Heck, the angels are my 2nd favorite team. It's just my observation that they're SP may be a tad weak, especially now that the A's and the Tigers have added a legit #1 starter to their rotation.

Still hoping for an LA/LA world series.

According to a small entity named MLB, there are two LA teams. Besides, some of you guys may be too young to remember, but the LA Rams played in Anaheim back in the 80s, and referred to themselves as the LA Rams.

The difference is the Rams never used the Anaheim moniker before. The Angels had already used it. Anaheim isn't a "virgin" anymore, hence it's stupid to use "Los Angeles" now. Do you like referring to the Ucks as Los Angeles?

Whether you guys like it or even agree with it is irrelevant. It'll be a LA/LA WS, if it ever happens.

Wonder when the dux will change their name to LA Dux of Anaheim? :sarcasm:

The first time I heard they chamged their name to The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim I laughed so hard. It's a contradiction.

The Los Angeles Dodgers of Chavez Ravine.
The Los Angeles Lakers of Inglewood.
The Los Angeles Galaxy of Dominguez Hills.
The Dallas Cowboys of Irving.
The New York Giants of Pasaic.
The Detroit Lions of Pontiac.
The Atlanta Thrashers of Winnipeg.
The Hartford Whalers of North Carolina.
The Oklahoma Thunder of Seattle.
The Golden State Warriors of San Francisco of Philadelphia.
The Golden Seals of California of Oakland.
The New Jersey Devils of the Cleveland Barons of the Kansas City Scouts.

God dammit but I am so ****ing bored.

Did you deliberately leave out the WNBA teams? ESPN not happy...

I don't see the big deal about the name. Anaheim is part of the LA metro area. The New York Giants and New York Jets don't even play in the state of New York.
