He’s a guy I try to get signed. I just don’t see the Bruins getting fair value for him.
It’s a little troubling that he “likes the culture”. It seems like it might be a country club atmosphere. He’s a guy I try to get signed. I just don’t see the Bruins getting fair value for him.

I like Geekie, he's been the most consistent forward this season. With that said, If a team offers a 1st and one or two more other good assets, I think the Bruins should do the deal. The Bruins have guys in Providence that can make the jump and fight for bottom 6F spots next season, and Sweeney is good at finding 3rd liners. The Bruins need to focus on adding skill to their forward core. That's not to say Geekie hasn't been playing good, but even with playing with Pastrnak, after tonight's game, he's only on pace to score 4 more points than he did last season where he spent the majority of the season on the 3rd line. He has also played well with Poitras so I wouldn't be opposed to the Bruins keeping him, but if there is an offer the Bruins can't refuse, they should probably do it.Sell high.
It would need to be high for me to move him.Geekie is exactly what he has been doing, it's no fluke. He has 18 goals now.On pace for 24Sell high.
Same here. Make you wonder eh!?!I am surprised at the hockey IQ piece. Feels like a player who turns into a deer in headlights in the playoffs especially let alone the disappearing act in regular season.
Just my opinion but I don't want Frederic back unless it is for peanuts. He doesn't score and he isn't the physical player he is made out to be. If other teams still have a chubby for him then deal him asap.Namestnikov extended at 3mil...Frederic and Geekie should not get more than that...
Brazeau has disappeared.. I take a 4th for him
Coyle with one of our kids that Seeeney won't call up for a center.
Marchand can stay for 2 years if he takes a pay cut. Otherwise trade him.
Freddie for whatever anyone will offer.
Carlo and the other kid that won't be called up for a winger with speed and hands.
Time to sell. Charlie Mac ain't walking through that door fellas!!
Refurbished ? I am waiting till I see what Sweenious does first .He might just move the deck chairs on the titanic type thingWatching the 3rd period tonight I have to say, sell anyone who has no fire in the belly.
Marchand has that fire but would he want to go down with the sinking ship or help rescue the ship by leaving and allowing the Bruins to repair/rebuild?
Then, he can come back next season to a refurbished team and with a new 2 year contract.
Sell until it hurts!
He is an almost ideal sell high guy. Young, hard working third liner with some experience and enough talent to play up a line or two, but he is what he is in the end. You will get some value for him as general managers value high work rate and finishing.Sell high.

Love his attitude and think he honestly likes it here, but he benefits greatly from Pasta. If I can get a first rounder or good prospect, I will drive him to the airport if not his next home arena.
I want to trade him for a potential upgrade. I like him, but without Pasta he is the same third liner he was in Carolina, Seattle and for 20 games here. As for trending up, I would say 20ish goals is his ceiling.I don't get that.

And you want to trade him for someone you hope can take his place?
Who cares if he benefits from Pasta?
Players all over the league benefit from being with a better player
This is the type of player you try to acquire not one you trade
Because of trades, playoff bound teams have some of those picks, so that may be the thinking.Picks in the 35 to 50 range for Marchand?
Picks 33 to 48 are to non playoff teams. Would Marchand want that?
I know that. The article said in the 35 to 50 range. In the Caps case, there is a big difference between the 50th pick and the 64th pick.Because of trades, playoff bound teams have some of those picks, so that may be the thinking.
Edmonton has #39 (STL)
Tampa Bay has #41 (UTA) & #57 (LAK)
Colorado has #44 (NYR) and #56 (CAR)
Washington has #46 (BOS) & #64 (WSH)
Making the playoffs without both Hampus & McAvoy healthy is a bad move
They could get likely as low as 7-8 and maybe grab Desnoyers or Bear who fit their needs
Team could be Washington 25-26 with health and a tweek this offseason
I have 5 more home games so win those and I’ll be good

100%Whatever he says, I would bet money not one of the Bruins media presses him.
He got his paycheck, terrific player, but he is owed nothing, the team and fans should be owed the best team that can be put out on that ice. This phony bullshit "he is owed" just does not cut it.Trading Ray was end of career Mercy.
Marchy has his cup, and I think we do owe it to him to let him decide what's next.
I assume he loved playing best on best. That may have given him an appetite to go have a run somewhere here. I suspect they'll keep it quiet if so.
