I don't know what the **** you just said but did you just use the Miami Heat to make a point?

Yes, just to show to you that the bigger, long-term picture matters the most. Heat tanked their 2007-2008 season, and that landed them Michael Beasley. In addition, that Summer of 2010 free agency allowed them to retain Wade and signed Bosh and Lebron.

Watch, a similar thing shall happen with the Lakers.

And no, the Ring Argument is not subject to Godwin's Law.

You needed 3 days to reply to that? Keep dreaming big, though. The Lakers don't have a 28-year old Dwyane Wade that attracted Bosh and James. It's gonna take a rebuilding mode to get back to the top.

At least I replied in quality.

With that aside, the Lakers are projected to have a huge cap space, which can be used to land from a trade or free agency. :naughty::D

Care to explain to me your Laker haterade?

I can sympathize with him if this is where he's coming from. I'm an Angels fan who was born and raised in LA. I'm surrounded by Dodger fans. I get guff from them on a constant basis. When we (Angels) do well, everybody around me puts it down immediately. When we do terribly, I never hear the end of it. Thus, I can't stand the Dodgers. There's a certain arrogance and attitude that most Dodgers fans have about their team and the fans of other teams I can't stand.

I don't expect sympathy from the people around me and vice versa. I'm just stating how it is with myself and my baseball allegiances. I'm just stating that perhaps this is where he's coming from as well.

I'm a Clipper fan so naturally, I hate the Lakers. But the only "haterade" I've shown here is when insecure Laker fans try to downplay any success the Clippers have against the Lakers. I'm just here to defend my team and my fellow Clipper fans.

It's one regular season game.

Oh God. As a Yankee fan prior to arriving here...in America, I already got tons of flak for being a Yankee fan, to the point one of my former high school classmates purposely wore a Diamondbacks jersey and the whole 9th Grade class of my HS taunted me, "YANKEES SUCK!" As early as the 8th Grade, the Assistant Principal sent me from one PE class to the PE class of the wife of former Dodger player Ron Roenicke, back when he was one of Mike Scioscia's coaching staffmembers.

Your Angels will rebound, once they move on from getting destroyed in the 2009 ALCS by the Yankees.

I have no beef vs the Clippers, but most people in L.A. have a beef with the owner, Donald Sterling. In addition, I can realistically see a Warriors-Clippers 2014 NBA WCF.

Unfortunately for Clippers fans, the Ring Argument is still being used against them.

Who are these people? Unless it's personal, any beef with him should be put aside. The man has finally realized that you have to spend money to field a winning team in any league.

What success do the Clippers have against the Lakers?

All you have to do is google 142 94 and this is what you get:

Clippers have such an inferiority complex with regards to the Lakers that they started covering up the Lakers championship banners at the stadium this year during Clipper home games

So they hung a 50 spot on the most injury depleted team in the league...good for them but wake me up when they win more than 2 playoff rounds.

Oh yeah, if/when the Clippers win more than 2 rounds, you'll bring up "get to the finals first." And then "win a championship first." And then "win more than one ring first."

That's the exact same argument Yankee fans make vs Mets fans in baseball. :naughty:

In addition, that's the exact same argument the Raiders fans used to make vs 49ers fans, until the 80s.

You're well-aware that Doc Rivers used to be the Celtics head coach, correct? :naughty:

Ring arguments don't bother me that much. Now that I know what it's like to have a team that won it all (Kings), it just makes me realize how stupid it is to use the championship argument. Except when I'm talking **** to Arsenal fans about not winning the Champions League.

you are just proving the stereotype...

its not a question of moving goal posts when it comes to Clipper success...its about them actually showing up to the game. I will root for them in the playoffs since I root for all LA teams but will not be shocked when they lose in round 1-2.

my issue with the Clipper Org lies solely with Donald Sterling. At least when the Kings were losing all those years it was not from lack of trying. Look up the net worth of Sterling and the Buss family and you will see which owner made the bigger effort to win. Sterling more than doubles the Buss family net worth yet it took an act of the commissioner to deny the CP3 trade to the Lakers for anyone to take the Clippers seriously. Buss was always willing to spend what was required to win, Sterling until recently has not...maybe he has changed?

clippers have a decent team, not a championship caliber team but a good decent team. Took a needed step in upgrading their coach although Doc Rivers is nothing special he is an upgrade over VDN. Lets see if they can build on their recent success, I hope they do.

I'm indifferent about the Clippers, but man, I also sense some strong inferiority complex in here by a certain poster. Enjoy the success, but really, have they accomplished anything for you to be running your mouth? They're about to reach the playoffs for the 7th time in team history. The Lakers have more championships than the Clippers have playoff appearances. And as took just mentioned above, let's not forget who owns the Clippers, the man who once suggested that his own players pay for their team issued socks.

Whenever I think of the Clippers I think of that scene in the Seinfeld episode "The Package" when Jerry and Kramer are talking about write offs and how they work

Happy for loyal Clipper fans though. As King fans we can all relate to mediocrity. Unfortunately...
