I don't know why they mad doe RP. I'm just showing my support for the Clippers after 10+ years of lottery basketball since becoming a fan. I got **** on for supporting a perennial loser and now that they're good, I still get **** on by Laker fans.

And I know you're attempting to refer to me with the tired old u mad meme/gif.

I'm also a Rams fan but it is not the same thing since they are in STL. Are they ever coming back to LA? I grew up, early childhood, rooting for Roman Gabriel and his long passes to Jack Snow. Great memories. But when the Rams where in LA they always seemed to choke come playoff time even though they had the best team (against the Cowboys, the Vikings).

That's my 0.02 $

Why must you dredge up so much pain for me in my teenage years? :/

We must be the same age. Roman Gabriel was my hero and Jack Snow was the best receiver ever. Then came the '70s and all those playoff chokes even though we were the best.

Sounds familiar.

I must be a lot younger because my heroes were Vince Feragamo, the Youngbloods, Nolan Cromwell and LA McCutcheon, I was also a Walter Payton fan so when Georgia pulled all that BS I migrated to the Bears and when they moved to St. Louis I jumped to the Bears but I would gladly welcome back the Rams to relive my youth as a Rams fan and all the heartache that came with it.

Clippers win their 9th straight. I hope the Kings can get theirs tomorrow. I've never had this much fun with my NBA and NHL teams at the same time during the regular season.

How about the Spring of 2012, when all three tenants were threatening to make deep runs into the playoffs and ruin Staples Center? That was absolutely awesome to witness...both NBA teams fell short in the conference semis, but the Kings went all the way. Want to see the Clippers and Kings go as far as possible this season: Staples would be hopping again.

Anyone else loving the Dodger channel? I love that every ST game is televised. Fox Sports never did that. My only complaint is that other than live games, their programming consists of 3 shows that are repeated all day. But I guess it's still the offseason.

I,m probably a little bit younger, my teen years are in the seventies. And in that decade, the Rams were by far the best at least in the NFC but, man, did they choke come playoff time. Remember the "Mud bowl", everything was against the Rams, even the pouring rain when finally a playoff game against the Vikings was in "sunny" LA.

Roman Gabriel was an inspiring figure in sports. One of our sons name is Roman (actually Romain in French) and I've told him many stories about Roman Gabriel... (Of course my wife agreed to Romain but not for the same reasons:))

I'm only 31 and never got to see him but how about Deacon Jones? I read everything he ever put out and listened to almost everything he ever said motivationally. I pattern my competitive career around the approach he had.

My first rams quarterback was James Harris. I also remember Ron Jaworski was the backup before getting traded.

I still have hard time believing that Jack and Jim Youngblood weren't somehow related.

Also, the worst rams QB ever: Dieter Brock! Thanks Georgia! You ****in *****!

Worst Rams QB was Tony Banks.

I vaguely remember Banks. Dieter was the worst because he sucked so bad, but was the starter for so long, too long, or it seemed. The guy played in the Canadien Football League, but couldn't do jack **** at the NFL level. The guy was notorious for his bounce passes.

geez, what about Joe Namath?

And the best qb (worst??) to choke in the ultimate game(s), is of course, Jim Everett.

And if Eric Dickerson could have caught the ball out of the backfield, he would be remembered as the best rb in NFL history.

I was an avid football fan from a very early age. When the Rams beat the Giants to get to the NFC championship game in 1989 I was in love. I have an affinity Everett. SF was his kryptonite, that is for certain. He probably wakes in at night sweating bullets dreaming of Charles Haley and Ronnie Lott.

I believe we are the same age, and I too remember that game. Everett hit Flipper Anderson in OT to win it.

Everett lives in the same town I grew up in (Coto de Caza) and I used to always see him around town. Super nice guy.

Yup. An 85 yard td with no time left. Flipper kept running into the locker room and came out five minutess later.

I think it was the first drive of OT...? maybe not. But I can still see that play like it happened yestersday - and hear the dead silence of Giant Stadium.

I thought that that quick TD sparked some of the first NFL conversations about somehow extending OT to make sure each team gets a chance on offense in OT.

or I could just be really tired and not remember any of this right.

I bet the same applies to most guys who played at that time:laugh:

Not a Rams fan, but I get the memories of NFC title games and not much more since McNabb and co could only win it once....
