As many problems as Everett had, it's a shame that he and Dickerson never played in the same backfield.

I remember a playoff game where a Raiders fan and friend of mine was giving me a hard time about Dieter Brock. I responded that he completed something like 40 out of 40 handoffs to Dickerson and it and was his best game of the season, and all the Rams needed him to do.

I think it was the first drive of OT...? maybe not. But I can still see that play like it happened yestersday - and hear the dead silence of Giant Stadium.

I thought that that quick TD sparked some of the first NFL conversations about somehow extending OT to make sure each team gets a chance on offense in OT.

or I could just be really tired and not remember any of this right.

You are right. I was certainly OT.

There's a quote somewhere that Eric Dickerson said something along the lines of "Marshall Faulk had Kurt Warner, I had Dieter Brook." Which is pretty true. If Georgia hadn't been such a cheapskate and paid for an actual QB, they might've won a few championships with him there.

Also my older sister used to work at a restaurant in Newport Beach at the time he was a Ram and used to tell me what a notorious cheapskate he was. You were lucky to get a 3-5 pct tip in a 200 dollar meal. It all depended on how well he played that week.

I'm only 31 and never got to see him but how about Deacon Jones? I read everything he ever put out and listened to almost everything he ever said motivationally. I pattern my competitive career around the approach he had.

Greatest Ram ever.....hands down.

And I was lucky enough to see him play and meet him.

Yeah, they gotta knock Puig down a peg and somehow communicate with the guy that it might have been a little cute being a goofball rookie really excited for the game last season, but he's gotta knock off the clown **** this season.

I'll intentionally namedrop the L.A. KISS of the Arena Football League; seems interesting and a full-scale concert by the band is incentive enough for me, let alone the fact they'll be my 1st Arena Football team I'll root for.

PS: I look forward to see those Bad Apple!! Knicks get spat out of STAPLES Center.

PPS: UCLA in Sweet 16 vs the Florida Gators.

The Lakers set a franchise record 51 points in one quarter.

The Knicks had never allowed that many points in one quarter to any team, ever.

And it was all done with a bunch of no-names.

Go figure.

I just won free tacos at Jack in the Box! WOO! Knicks got spat out of STAPLES Center, 127-96, by the Lakers!

The last time I ate at JITB, I had a couple of those tacos.

And promptly threw up two hours later. Be careful what you wish for.

I rarely eat fast food, but the last time it was Kentucky Fried Chicken. I felt like burying the toilet after that dump. It was bad.
