happy for the win but we’ve won games in the playoffs the last 6 years. are we really going to bump this after every win or loss? crow will be served when they win the series which i believe they will
Even more so. If the leafs win the cup I still won't change my mind about Keefe.

What kind of short memory someone must have to bump this thread 48 hours after that coaching quagmire Tuesday night. Wow.

I'm pretty damn positive that Keefe will figure it out and have success in the playoffs. If not with us then with someone else. Beyond that who the hell is out there to replace him with?
You don't think a large organization like TMLSE doesn't have anyone in mind to replace KEEFE?

Trust would be misplaced in a coach that if his career ended today would have the worst playoff record in the history of the game. His entire tenure has been underperforming strong teams accomplishing nothing come playoff time.
That doesn't mean he can't or won't win in the playoffs. I think they'll win this series (but not because of his coaching them over the hump).

Last night it felt like Keefe just got out of his own way and thankfully the star power took over early and there wasn’t any reason to make crazy adjustments and scramble the chemistry.

Anyone with pedigree? Nope. No I do not.
What is pedigree to you?

A cup final?

A cup win?

It's a silly argument to suggest that TMLSE should keep Keefe as head coach because no one on HFboards can name one, or hasn't heard a rumour.

We should keep Keefe around because he did win a cup at the AHL level, and his regular season record is impeccable. Everyone in the industry predicts he will see success in the playoffs at some point and I agree. And there is no better replacement. And everyone who beats us keeps going to the finals or winning the cup. We just happen to be seated in the hardest division in the league atm.

Wanting change just for the sake of change is asinine.

NHL coaches get fired, and that's as sure as the sun coming up tomorrow morning. Don't kid yourself if you think Keefe will last 6-8 years anywhere as head coach.

The Calder Cup means sweet FA

Our division has the fewest 100 point teams in the NHL.

Tampa won the cup and went to the the last 3 years. Montreal beat us...went to the finals. And now Boston just set a record for most successful team in the regular season.

Ya. Our division is soft...

Do you have a coach you want to replace Keefe with who even has a Calder Cup win? Or do you just want change for the sake of change? If it's change for the sake of change, then you have less then sweet FA.

Thanks for playing.

Ok. When someone better comes along, I'm all for it. Find someone better who's available.

Yeah, I'm not sure how anybody could think our division is weak

2018-2019:
-Atlantic division team wins President's Trophy
-Atlantic division team wins the East and advances to SCF

2019-2020:
-Atlantic division team wins President's Trophy
-Atlantic division team wins the cup

2020-2021:
-Atlantic division doesn't actually exist, but Atlantic division team beats out Atlantic division team in the SCF to win the cup

2021-2022:
-Atlantic division team wins President's Trophy
-Atlantic division team wins the East and advances to SCF

2022-2023:
-Atlantic division team wins President's trophy
-Playoffs in progress

Good or bad, we win or lose this series because of how the players play the games. And goalies, never underestimate the goalies.

I didn't say our division was soft, I simple countered your statement by pointing out that the "hardest division in the league atm" has the fewest 100 point teams. Perhaps "atm" means something other than "at the moment"?

As I stated, the Calder Cup means sweet FA in terms of NHL success.

Do I have a coach to replace him with now? No, but this season is still on. Personally, I would have replaced him with Trotz, Gallant, or Cassidy, but now those ships have sailed.

Completely disagree. Did you not watch the game? We were chasing the game pretty much from beginning to end.

I just saw Keefe putting lines together in the 3rd like he was pulling names from a hat.

We were damn lucky to win tonight, and Keefe was too. To say Keefe outcoached Cooper comes across as a lot of wishful thinking and if he's an underappreciated asset, he can go coach the Coyotes and be the King that he is.

Not to mention the Tavares line getting absolutely caved in defensively and not having the smarts to break up Tavares and Nylander. Any other coach we would have a good chance of being up 3-0. Keefe is just bad and Tampa isn’t that good anymore.

The team didn't show up how they should have. I'm long passed the belief that this is on the coaches anymore, they hung Babcock out to dry so many times like that and they do the same to Keefe, except these are the games Babcock couldn't win.

Don't really understand this honesty bit, whatever. Keefe has been criticized for many different things, and I've criticized him myself. I'm just saying nothing wrong with saying something nice about him after a big win. He took a lot of crap for his lineup last night but whaddya know, they played great.
I agree there’s nothing wrong with saying something nice after a win but if the criticism/not trusting him is based on him not winning a playoff series bumping this thread with a see I told you so after a win when no one disputed that he can get wins in the playoffs is just emotional/disingenuous. I’m all for the see I told you sos but they should come after a series win. We’ve won games before with keefe in the playoffs just never a series.

I just dislike it in general like when a player is having a bad/good season then have one good/bad game and people come out with the “yea you were saying!” well yea the point still stands until proven otherwise.
