He’s not that old.

Fourteen years in the NHL as small, waterbug type player takes its toll. It's not uncommon for people to see declines in peak physical shape at the age of 30, happens all the time in the NHL.

All it takes is losing that millisecond or two and for a player like that it can make a big impact.

Far too few scoring chances for the Oilers, and when they do get one, the shots are putrid.
