He's getting to the age, decade and a half of regular hockey. Has played a softish, weaker game that it makes perfect sense he is slowing down a bit with age. The thing that let him be successful in the league was having the lateral quickness and playmaking prowess to put points up.

As you age in a highly competitive environment, that extra millisecond you once had but now lost due to physical and mental deterioration can prove significant.

He’s not that old.

I never understand why there is a pocket of hockey fans who can never blame the goalie.

They will look back 20-30 seconds on a play and blame a small breakdown in the neutral zone that led to a half chance before blaming a 6 foot 4 goalie for letting a puck go through him.
