It's not about the 3 point difference. Tage is quite poor defensively. He has a long way to go in that arena. Incredible on-puck impacts, but the Sabres' overall defensive game is why they're going home in a week.

Yeah Tage is tremendously talented offensively, a unicorn in many ways. But dude's defensive effort and awareness are both terrible. He makes Jack look like Patrice Bergeron.
