It's hard to do that when he plays 8 mins a month and if he takes a penalty or misreads something he sits for a few weeks.I don't disagree about his game, but talented players find a way to work their way up the lineup.

Just a reminder to everyone... Elias started on the 3rd line.I don't disagree about his game, but talented players find a way to work their way up the lineup.
Eh Vesey's another guy who looked like he'd rather be on the other side of town (a la Grabner) and he's playing like it this year.
Dude's had by far his best years as a Ranger and has basically sucked everywhere else, both at the beginning of his career and this year, whatever you want to attribute it to.I'll never understand a take like this. Vesey was playing for league minimum last year after getting a PTO. He was busting his ass every game. He's pretty much the same guy over there except he's getting some bounces.
Feel free to take mine. It was a popular one back in 2011.We should all exchange avatars with each other to REALLY screw everyone up.
X2, @Its Always Sundstrom you the real MVP always liking and laughing at my posts

Exactly. As you said, Holtz isn't a play driver. How is he supposed to deserve to go up in the lineup when he's stuck with offensive black holes constantly? I'll never understand this.Holtz is not a play driver and probably never will be. He has to be put in a position to succeed.
My problem with the whole thing is that they haven't even tried to do that. Play him with Nico or Bratt or Jack. I am not even saying for a WHOLE GAME. But just please try it. Didn't he score one of his goals when they put him on the PP with those guys? Against Nashville I wanna say?
Give the kid a chance. Hes never going to do anything playing 8 minutes a night with Mike McLeod.
Foote is actually big and Stillman isn’t so he can be a “power forward” just by using his size more. Stillman is more of an energy forward.isn't foote also physical?
As the great Geddy Lee once said “hey, 10 bucks is 10 bucks”Hopefully he takes a discount now that he's got this sweet CarShield sponsorship.

Maybe this endorsement money will keep his salary demands down so we can possibly keep him ?Ryan is involved in some of the weirdest commercials....what in the hell?
I wonder if he gets ribbed a ton by his teammates for this?
Devils or new team should give him time to mature and learn on the fly. He is very talented and very raw.Brian Gionta started in the bottom six but he also had a total of
3 points (1G 2A) in his first 16 GP (12:13 ATOI)
7 points (3G 4A) in his first 34 GP (13:14 ATOI)
He ended up with
11 points (4G 7A) in 35 GP in his 1st season because he had 4 points (1G 3A) in his last game. (Ending with 13:25 ATOI.)
Holtz has 4 points (3G 1A) in 18 GP this season but only 10:18 ATOI.
Holtz’s 5v5 TOI/GP is 8:12.
I don’t know if you can find another young Devils player of note (good or bad) that got so little ice time. Matteau and Quenneville got more ice time and it wasn’t because they were better.

I hope the Devils have as much success as I do improved health!
And I implore anyone else who smokes to quit as well! No better time to start then now
Go Devils!
