Boqvist needs in. I don't care if it means taking out Wood for a few games, or more than a few. Wood can get back in when he gets his shit in order.

Jesper Boq was playing some pretty solid hockey when he had to come out for Zetts (which was fair to Zetts, but not fair to Boq)

I'll take the hit with Haula off Jacks line every single time. On the other hand Dougie is so incredibly bad in the defensive zone, Seigs has been kinda brutal too. I swear he was better playing with the fishbowl.

The biggest concern for me is not coverage within our zone its the insane amount of odd man breaks, bad pinches and such. Some of that needs to be curtailed but the forwards need to recognize it and drop back and fill in for the D.

Yeah, I’m kind of in that mindset too lol. Hid all situations numbers are pretty good, but it gets weird at EV and 5on5. Is it just that the Canucks suck this year? His numbers were better before.

I guess we’ll see what happens, but I think a shoot first player is attractive to Fitz right now. I’m sure the main target is Meier though.

Why would his agent be talking to teams? There's no contract extension, NMC or NTC to discuss...am I missing something?

Edit: Forgot that back in December he was given permission to seek a trade. Sounds like smoke from the agent and I doubt the team would like him floating their name.

I get we have to take risks and have our d men drop deeper into the offensive zone but yeah we need to find a way to cut these odd man rushes/breakaways down and we need to do it fast. I guess if we play a safer game than it could cost us some goals. There needs to be a balance because we can't keep winning games like this. Being the better 5 on 5 team is paramount towards being a team that can win a playoff series and hopefully a cup as opposed to being an easy out in the 1st round. I love how we are high up in the standings but this team is lacking some things that make me think we can make a run this year. If we can get Meier and a good 3rd line player with size and bite to their game than our offense would be rounded out pretty damn well.

Brock Boeser wouldn’t be the end of the world on the 2nd line. He doesn’t have a lot of term and maybe with a playmaker like Hughes he could find a second breath. He wouldn’t be ideal though, that’s for sure. I’m kind of split.

I trust Fitz 100% here and anyways I’m sure his #1 target is Meier.

Same. Literally has put me in a bad mood. If we end up with Boeser as our deadline addition and the Rags and Canes add one or more of Meier / Kane / Chychrun / O’Reilly / Tarasenko , I will honestly lose my shit.
Why pay assets to get a slow , injury prone , 20g 40 point winger that can’t keep up to our pace of game ? It’s Johnson all over again.
Sad thing is , I can see use miss out on Meier and add Boeser as Fitz won’t go rental route - Tarasenko etc.
So I can see us add Boeser and someone like Jeannot (Jeannot wo make me feel better , but the situation still sucks )
If we add Boeser and Anderson….. I think I will take a little break from watching , until I can settle down lol.

I will say, a change of scenery might help a player like Boeser, who has had injury recovery troubles and the death of his father to deal with in Vancouver. He wouldn’t be my first choice though.

Boeser is not the kind of player we need. I’d rather make zero moves than trade for him.
