Devils will regret moving on from Alexander Holtz or Nico Daws if they so choose

Arsenyi Gritsyuk and Seamus Casey should be the first assets out the door in a deal for a goaltender; both prospects in positions of surplus based on their playstyles with higher current value than they likely deserve based on outlier seasons

The next game we MIGHT win is almost two weeks away against Arizona.

That's being generous, Jack + Luke will be too busy banging ASU co-eds and I don't blame them

If Tommy Fitz is the GM there will be plenty of other opportunities to be sellers at the deadline.

Turns out “inheriting literally all of another GMs talent” isn’t all that difficult. Allowing the team to take the next step absolutely is.

The Yankees had all of the talent in the world. It took a GM Change and the firing of a legendary manager for them to take the next step.

Fire Fitzgerald, fire Ruff, take the next f***ing step.

Lmao this team was icing Mirco Mueller as a top 4D under Shero's later days but yeah he inherited an entire roster

AZ and then less than 24 hours later they're in Vegas. Gotta imagine that'll be a dumpster fire of a game and of course it's nationally televised.

I am pretty familiar with the O. So have seen him play quite a bit. High, high IQ. Won’t be a high point producer per se, but like I said I see a strong 3C who can go over the boards in any situation. Prolly a moot discussion since what are the realistic chances that not only Toffolli goes to Vegas, but that is the return.
We are trading away this type of players, not trading for.

Ok, Fitz, you can trade both for another Goon.

Devils arent missing out on a 23-yo whos regressed in his time in the KHL; odds are he will be back oversees by 2026, if he comes over in the first place

Wasnt worth signing to a 50-man roster spot

Has anyone done the side by side between Gritsyuk and the Russian players that have come over in the last decade around this point in their career? Curious if it looks likely he’ll be good or still unclear. Gusev had some great stats out there and couldn’t last in the nhl for more than 2 years (though I don’t know the full story there)

Grits is ahead of last years pace. Putting both seasons at last years games played would be.

Last year - 69 games 15 goals and 25 assists.

This year - 69 games (adjusted) 26 goals and 26 assists.

This seasons numbers are good for a 22 year old. They don’t scream superstar but they do suggest someone with NHL potential.

Gritsyuk didn't regressed. If you think differently, you are not watching games, you don't know how his health effect on the part of his season and you don't know what are you talking about.
Its better to stay silent when you know nothing.
2026 stuff is taking from your mind, not from the actual situation. Again, it's better to not talk about what you know nothing about. Or ask.

There were some players with good stats in whl, shl, ohl, khl etc but they never produced 44 points in 66 games. You never know. At least Gritsyuk can skate.

I think I remember seeing he compares pretty favorably to some of the good players to come out of the KHL at the same age.

Our first pathetic loss of the season. Don't be so sure it won't happen again.

Our first actual loss of the season.

Saw the Fire LindyGreen thread was locked and thought it was because he got fired!:sarcasm:
