Not sure I'd call a 6.65 million cap hit for 2 years after this one a "buy low" candidate. As an extreme buy low candidate that's still relatively young I don't think it's a bad idea.

He was not too long ago a top line winger that would have fetched a fortune on the trade market prior to the last two seasons. Compared to what his value once was it certainly is at an all time low.Not sure I'd call a 6.65 million cap hit for 2 years after this one a "buy low" candidate.

What good is our high powered analytics department if our Plan B is freaking Brock Boeser lol
He's definitely far from the perfect option but it just seems a little crazy to me that many on here would be perfectly fine with paying a more than decent price for Adam Henrique who is currently at $5.825M on the cap, will turn 33 years old this week and who was waived two years ago but the idea of taking a chance on Boeser, who's 25 and was a no doubt top 6 winger between 20-23 is not even worth a discussion. The guy has also an insanely rough year and a half with the passing off his father which he's been really public with, a move closer back home (he's from Minny) could revitalize him. Plus he'd basically a cherrypicking merchant off of Hughes but I'm still super weary of him.
It's probably someone like Henrique or Reinhart, I doubt Boeser is option 2 behind Meier.
Nico,Bratt,Seigs,Tatar an Timo are in Tulum together, Tatar's wife posted a picture of all of them together. So is Meier actually vacationing near Hischier and Siegenthaler?! Or was I fooled lol
Settle down Rejeanbecause it's more like @@@$$'n Wood and Goddamn Holtz and Zetterlund.
I think it’s less of a keeping Hughes happy and more of let’s maximize the opportunity and salary cap to build a competitive team that stays competitive for awhile.Jack seems like the last person who would care what his teammates make, guy just wants to play hockey
Are they legally allowed to talk about playing together?!Nico,Bratt,Seigs,Tatar an Timo are in Tulum together, Tatar's wife posted a picture of all of them together.
Never thought I'd concur with @Bleedred (and appreciate the success the team has had to this point) but I too find both OT AND shootout wins less substantial than regulation wins.I think I get what @Bleedred is complaining about, OT in some form has always existed. (Well I don’t know about the very early NHL lol.)
I think technically Shoot-Outs are the fake wins?
I do get confused at what exactly I’m supposed to shake my cane at with this issue.

0-1-5 just makes it sound worse than it is, the guy is pretty much lumping 3-on-3 in as a fake win too, but it’s also unfair to treat that as a ‘tie’ when actual ties had five minutes of OT before.I think I get what @Bleedred is complaining about, OT in some form has always existed. I mean I guess if its a salary dump price. But the AAV for multiple years, the decline in shot generation and the overall footspeed/defensive issues make me want to try and spend the money elsewhere if we strike out on the big dogsAs an extreme buy low candidate that's still relatively young I don't think it's a bad idea.

Rather buy low on a guy like Duclair.
Sure but be consistent, use that barometer for everyone or nobody at all, don't just use it on one team to mealy-mouth their record. They'd be surprised how many teams have six-game regulation winless streaks.I mean I get it if you’re looking at it from a playoff perspective. 3v3 wins are fake wins. No one knows know a 5v5 OT would play out

That’s my guy
He’s been great this year. Counting stats may not be there, but he’s had an impact.
More likely his agent is the one being unreasonable and asking 9.5, and Fitz telling him to "Know his role and shut his mouth".Who says they want him to take below market value? All signs are pointing to Fitz wanting to see one more year before throwing big money at him, which he's now seeing. For all we know, Bratt is the one being unreasonable and asking 9.5.
I'm fairly confident this gets done.

I doubt he did too, but there’s a lot of talking and speculating in absolutes one way or the other when we don’t know what truly happened.I highly highly doubt he was asking for 9.5

What Id do to be a fly on that wall!
