That, and I wonder sometimes what the difference is really like. I mean, I get it, playing in the middle of Manhattan is its own thing, and the location of MSG means it'll always have sellouts and whatnot through corporate seats alone, but in the big picture it's not like the local media really talks about the Rangers all that much, anyway. Listen to local sports radio and they're all like "Oh, it's February, nothing going on in sports until March Madness and baseball season", just a lot of ignoring or sheer ignorance of hockey, whether it's the Rags, Isles, or us.
The size of the Rags' "fanbase" is always played up, but they just don't seem to make that much of a ripple in the overall sports scene around here; this is a baseball/football/Knicks market.
