Vrana is a hood player but too much going on to warrant acquiring him. I’d say he is a scoring upgrade on Shara but not enough to lose Sharas PK ability , cost , and ” history “ , cap difference. Save the cap room and Shara bargain contract to add one more elite piece.

That seems a bit redundant in terms of approach? I'd split Bratt and Tatar and Palat and Mercer?

Palat-Hughes-Tatar
Shara-Haula-Zetterlund
Bratt-Hischier-Mercer
Wood-McLeod-Holtz

maybe? The team could really use another top end wing for some clarity.

I see what you did there.

I thought Tatar and Hughes were dynamic together. I’d like to see a longer look at that.

Yeah that line yesterday was tearing it up. I don't remember tatar getting a lot of looks with Hughes last year but, it definitely worked last night.

Still think Palat and Nico should be together, when the season started off, with that lineup, they generating a lot of down low plays towards net..

What did I do? I just listed the lines in the order of where they should slot according to some posters.

I think Holtz and Shara should also be tried with Hughes at some point. (Not at the same time)

Either of them would have to be better at finishing the chances he creates, than Haula is.
They must have put Yegor with Jack on 5 different occasions this season and he got yanked off after a period or two. It just hasn’t been working for whatever reason.

Nothing official or confirmed but someone in the comments saying he doesn’t have asterisk next to his name on the roster anymore. We’ll see if they announce it soon.

Luke will get more benefit of the doubt over Severson for a variety of reasons:

-#4 overall pick
-He’s a Hughes
-He does have much higher upside
-He (likely) won’t be around when the team is shitty for years thereby being identified with said shittiness like Sevs
-Because of the Rachel Doerrie nonsense
There are people here who I'm pretty sure just enjoy bagging on any young skilled player who isn't perfect defensively, so while I agree the majority will likely give him more rope, you know there are going to be some absolutely ridiculous takes when he's here.

I'd be great if we could lock up the whole BMW line for something around $6m (+/- $1m). A fourth line which are basically all pacing for 30ish points is a great asset.
Wood $3.5m per year
McLeod $2m
Bastian $1.5m

Are the contracts that I would offer.
McLeod and Bastian are both getting their previous salary doubled. Bastian gets less because hasn't been healthy while McLeod gets a little be more than Nate as he does play more an important role on PK and faceoffs.
Miles Wood is the toughest to re-sign but i think we need to stay the line on what is he currently been paid. $3.5m is about right for Miles. If he wants more, let him go and either Zetterland or Thompson takes his spot permanently. I would give Zetterlund the Bastian contract, $1.5m per year. He is cooling off after his hot start.

I know people might immediately jump to Blackwood being injury prone by let’s be reasonable here. How often is he honestly gonna have a puck shot at his hand. Sounds like shit luck to me.
