Mercer started to develop a good one timer from the slot - a slapper from about 15 feet out - last season. He scored a bunch of goals that way but also missed the net often. He can perfect that, I expect him to, and that is a center’s wheelhouse. He may also develop into a good power play bumper with that shot.

I'd be interested to see how long those services remain "free", or if this is just a give them a free dose to hook them and then start charging for it later thing.

The games for those teams are airing on over the air local stations that you can get for free with an antenna. So they may eventually charge for the app there is a limit given an HD antenna is like $20.
I’m also guessing those teams aren’t getting much in terms of rights fees (and probably weren’t previously).
6 of those games are ESPN+ exclusives, which really should count as national games. If you count ESPN+ then every game is on national tv between ESPN+, ABC, TNT, ESPN and TNT. An ESPN+ exclusive isn’t a spotlight game as the rest of the games are in ESPn+ just with a local blackout. It’s a price gouge for local fans.
Anyways they really have 7 national games. 5 on TNT and 2 on ABC.
I mucked this up. The 13 IS without Mercer, but their list includes the unsigned Mercer. It assumes the RFA will be signed giving them 14!
Foote is still not on that roster, but is a Comet while Willman is on the Devils' roster.
I see those 2 guys swapped. That will be 14 Fs, 7 D and 2 goalies. 23 and they would be done.
Hatakka and DeSimone will be waived to be assigned to Utica. I don't see a Hatakka /Foote battle for the last spot. They have their extra D in Kovacevic. Hataskka and DeSimone along with Misyul and Vilen area a mere phone call and 3 hours away.
Any of Foote, DeSimone, and Hatakka could be claimed, but if they are the team that grabs them has to play them in the NHL. I don't see that happening at the time the Devils will make their big cut including their waived players when all the other teams do the same. IMO, not one of those guys has the NHL kind of quality that any club wouldn't already have placed on their final roster.
So, I guess I am to accept that barring a shocking move, Fitz is done. His roster is set, Yes?

I'm not and it sucks tbh. Fortunately I'm able to use a buddy's login for a diff cable provider but as an Xfinity area resident I've been screwed the last 3 years or whatever and spending $42 a month is hardly a remedy.
