I think it would be more than just Severson going to Van .. probably Sharangovich/Severson/draft pick type deal.

Right now Yegor in my eyes is untouchable unless it's for a young elite winger signed long term. Yegor holds more value then people think. He's a dude who has 100% chemistry with our star center & can pot 30 goals (potentially more if given real PP time on a legit PP). The real value comes from the fact that he can probably be signed long term for around 5 mill. Having a cheap top 6 goal scoring winger allows us to add to other areas of need like goalies/defense/raises of players like Mercer in the future. As cool as it is to have an all star top 6 lineup it's not feasible because you have to sacrifice parts of the team. Also how could you trade a player as wholesome as Yegor. Dude is just the man. One of my favorite Devils right now.

Good lord, Ryder and Brunner? I'd forgotten both of those floaters were there at the same time.

Our top 5 scorers that year were a 41 year old Jagr, a 37 year old Elias, Zajac, Henrique, and a 36 year old Zidlicky.

Brunner and Gusev.

Brunner had one ridiculous goal... and Gusev was one of the bright spots in a bad season... but then they disappeared.

There's a really short list of players that provided some fun when they were here for a short time. Those two and Andrei Loktionov are on that list.

Actually I'm working on it. I ordered the Rodecaster Pro which is a podcast console and it has a bluetooth channel so I can have people call in and patch them right into the show. I definitely wanted to do some episodes taking callers on stuff.

According to HockeyDB, he played 31 games for the Devils and I literally have 0 recollection of him. Impressive.

Wasn't it a really soft own goal on Price? I think it either bounced off Price and in or Price put it in himself. Something like that.

Lou announced that the Devils were going to sign someone already on their reserve list and it was thought that it would be Teemu Laine who they drafted in 2000 and who had established himself finally as a top six forward in Sweden, but nope it was Pikkarainen who had already had 3 unremarkable seasons in Albany. Devils went with Zharkov the rest of the way and he was a massive improvement.
