I would have no problem bringing PK back on a 1 or 2 year deal for $3M-$3.5M. He was solid in his role I thought. I really don't think he'll be back though. I think we're going to see some changes filling out this roster.
Subban takes a spot away from someone like Bahl or Okhotyuk. Unless we were to trade someone like Smith, there isn't really room for him.

I could see bring back the top four and having the three young guys battle it out for the third pairing but if they have waiver exemption remaining you could bring back Subban for a year. At this point any wisdom and professionalism has been given though. Maybe time for a different relatively elder statesmen voice?

I don't think Subban takes a spot away from either of them. TBH that 3LD is up for grabs with Bahl, Okhotiuk, and Smith battling it out. I think it's a lock to have Siegenthaler, Graves, Hamilton, and Severson in the top four. If Subban comes back that leaves 3LD in play.

Pivotal moment in the Devils franchise....

Fitz HAS to get this right. He'll be fired if he doesnt...wouldnt be surprised to see that 1st traded or Johnny Hockey in NJ

Wood's comments were very interesting mentioning Veterans etc.

Goaltending....I wish Fitz the best, but he's gotta fix it ASAP

Hes trying to say we could see that 1st traded for something and/or we could also be signing Gaudreau.

It was just poorly worded lol

Ya, Pk is a righty, those guys are lefties. Could one those guys play right? I guess maybe but a Bahl Smith 3rd pairing next year is just not how I would look to go into the season. I'd let PK walk, but then bring in a solid vet d-first penalty kill type of player.
I don’t want Subban anywhere near this team.
This is a bit much I thinks.

Subban is a RHD . None of our kids are play the right side . I want Lybushkin as a free agent or Manson or Gudbransen

If he traded major pieces for Johnny Hockey he might need to be fired.

A high profile forward trade is really not a high priority at all.

Goaltending and coaching are far and away the two biggest things that need to be addressed to get this team to have a big jump in the standings. Anything else is ancillary and won't move the needle much if those first two are not addressed.

It's true we are a young team, moreso at fwd, not so much on D. But we did bring a vet fwd this past season, but it was a bit of a dud acquisition. We brought in Johnsson the year before, and he's been a bit of a dud acquisition too. After those two I think Zacha is our most veteran fwd, he had a bit of a dud season as well. Wood I believe was next in line and he missed most of the year.

So it needs to be the right guys, and they need to be on the ice and performing.

I also think we need to consider that guys like Nico and Bratt are entering proven veteran stages. Shara getting there too. Hughes is growing out of his little kid stage. All the way down the line to McLeod and Bastian, who were asked to play a very veteran role.

Now do we want to replace Tatar or Johnsson? Or hold off on penciling Holtz into the lineup to start the year? Ya we probably want to do those things.

Yegor had points in only 4 of the 14 games Hughes was out.

I'm still nowhere near sold on him. We need an upgrade there and shouldn't make the mistake of penciling him in for a top line role next year.

A sniper who thrived with a playmaker and #s dipped when he lost his playmaker...you don't say? I'd love to fill our roster with a ton of 9m+ dollar players too but that's not really feasible. We have to sacrifice somewhere. Only way I'd be concerned at all is if Sharangovich demands a 9m+ dollar salary, he's definitely not worth that.
