They already began with McMullen...if they went the player route maybe you start with the Devils first Captain in Don Lever or something along those lines
I think guys like Lever, Driver, etc are perfect candidates for a Ring of Honor - nowhere close to the Stevens/Brodeur/Elias level, but still important players to our history that should be celebrated.

Moose ribeye? Moose filet? Moose brisket? Moose sirloin? I'd expect Moose to be pretty lean and the tougher cuts would need to be slow cooked for a long time to soften them up. Likely braising? I'd be surprised if it was fatty enough to be amenable to smoking bbq style but maybe parts of it can be?
Moose steaks from the ham/hind quarter. Essentially they take a ham and slice into about 3/4'' steaks..They don't need much tenderizing believe it or not. Cook them same as any steak...in a pan to 130-ish degrees for medium rare. It's on the lean side but it's very much beef like. We cook most meats on the rare side.

Moose is excellent a close second only to elk which I unfortunately don't have any off. But venison loin or backstraps as most hunters call them is just my all time favorite.
Backstraps, zucchini and sweet potato a glass of Cabernet and I'm happy.

I don't have any boar...but you got me thinking.

A half dozen of spiney lobster tails my buddy dove for. Two pheasants another buddy shot. Probably 20 lbs of venison left that I harvested. A few moose steaks my dad shot in Idaho.

I get a lot of clams to from another friend. We all trade. I trade venison summer sausage, hot dogs, jerky for game birds and shell fish. I like pheasants for the feathers to tie flies and then I trade flies I tied.

It's not really "trade" we give what we have an abundance of to each other.
Damn. My friends and I only trade nuggies, and that was back when we were in grade school

Cook bear to well done. I remember seeing a show where a guy got trichinosis from undercooked bear.

I figure by the time he's done with the Islanders, he could be at least 83.

I'm not sure how many year contract he just got, but I figure he's safe this year, no matter what happens. If they're bad the next two years or at least in the second year, he's probably not coming back for 25-26, if I had to guess.
Do you think he won't be signed for a second term?

hfboards. Not vegan frienldy.
Vegan is an old native American word for "bad hunter"

Black bear or grizzly? Aren't black bears primarily herbivores?
Black bear. I have tried it a couple times and been around it many times...
every time I have seen it or tried it, it's been like a greasy pork. Not my thing.

Black bears eat everything and anything. They kill and eat a lot of fawns in the spring.

You ever had dead bird a la rotting under the porch? My female golden retriever had some the other night when I let the dogs out for the last time before bed. I'm sure that carcass was yummy.

I thought that's why they tell you to carry bells and pepper spray when hiking in black bear country, and that you can tell what kinds of bears are present by looking at their scat. Black bear poop has berries and seeds, while grizzly has bells and pepper spray.

I hope you showered her with praises for being a good girl.

It's always available here.
You'd love her. She fancies herself a might hunter. She will chase anything that moves, including deer much bigger than her. You get to hunt from the safety of your bush hideout or deer stand. She has to attack her prey with claws and teeth. The worst was the time she cornered the deer in the back yard. Normally they jumped over the fence but this one panicked and let itself get pushed into a corner. It started screaming which is one of the most awful sounds I've ever heard and I was able to run over and get the dogs away and back in the house. At that point it regained its bearings and jumped over the fence. I could tell an ugly showdown was going to happen, probably with my dogs getting kicked and hurt because the deer had to outweigh them by two or three times.

Grizzlies are really the only thing in woods that make me nervous. I personally know someone who was attacked. Hearing him tell the story sends shivers down my spine.

I haven't seen many, probably a half a dozen times but I know I have been in their presence many times while fishing out west. It's an eery feeling and what's worse is sometimes you can smell them and never see them.

I live with black bear, he is making breakfast for me every day. I think fear of bears is overrated.

To be serious, once in the forest I saw a huge boar(hog) in relative proximity. Around 85-110 meters. It was quite nerve-wracking.
