So assuming all the RFA’s apart from Sharangovich are resigned I’d imagine we are adding 1-2 forwards, 1 dman and probably a depth goalie due to Daws injury.

If the PLD trade isn't proof today, we should be thanking every deity that we have two of the younger/better centers in the league and they're signed to 15M for the next 5 years.
PLD is such a weird case to me. He seems to continuously have a much better reputation around the league as a player than he should when he has done nothing at any point in his career to deserve it. It’s like if enough people say he’s a really good, big talented 1C that’s what he is. But he’s never really been and if anything the negatives of his reputation should drag his value down. He’s a good 2C who sometimes plays lazy and seems to always like having things his way. I wouldn’t want to pay him much if any more than 7M and I certainly wouldn’t want to while giving up the package LA did. Vilardi really isn’t that far off him at this point. Slower start to his career but is slightly younger and catching up

4 years for Nico. Still, I have big captain/Devil for life with Nico. Just seems like that dude. I definitely agree with your point though.

Completely agree. Love this trade for Peg and the move could destroy all the good work LA has done in rebuilding.

PLD is talented, only 25 and has the talent to be a 1C....but he's not a leader, in fact he's exact opposite, at $8Mx8.5years and stepping into Kopitar's spot (who IS a great leader) this move is a massive risk.

Probably saw how the Eichel trade worked out for Vegas and hoping for a similar outcome.

I don't like that we traded a 25 year old for a 31 year old and a soon to be UFA.

Other than that, it's a home run.

We traded a 26 year old for a 6th round pick and I thought that was an outstanding deal too.

We’re plenty young. Don’t you worry. :)
