Bon Jovi is like most other celebrity "hockey fans", going with the flavor of the month or wherever they get tickets. Like freaking Jon Hamm, noted Blues fan, cheering for the Rangers against us this year.

The Rangers picked up Tarasenko and Mikkola from the Blues plus they had Halak, I think if I were a Blues fan, that would be the team I'd bandwagon.

Bon Jovi was the celebrity roped into the Toronto-based consortium that attempted to buy the Bills several years ago. Why this happened, who knows, but apparently he's now very unpopular in Buffalo.

I think it's kind of goofy when some guy like Post Malone wears a Blues jersey in St. Louis, then a Devils jersey later on when he plays Newark. But if he's not really a hockey fan anyway, then I guess it's no big deal.

If I had his status, but still had my Devils fandom as strong as I have it in this life and in my average status, I ain't gonna wear another team's jersey when I perform in that city. It's not like people aren't gonna come see me at MSG if I'm not wearing the Rangers jersey or in St. Louis if I'm not wearing the Blues jersey.

Buttt........ if he's not a staunch hockey fan, it's not really a big deal to me.

I've read he was a Rangers fan, but it's never been confirmed.

I wonder if he's really a Leafs fan or if he's one of those weirdo's that wears the jersey of the home team of whatever city he's playing? That Post Malone character was wearing a Blues jersey performing in St. Louis (didn't he fall through the stage there or something? lol) and then I think they gave him a Devils jersey to wear when that tour hit Prudential Center lol.

By the way, he looked really good and young for a long time, but it seems he's hit the ''I'm good with getting old and coming to terms with it'' phase over the last 7 or 8 years. First he let his hair go gray and he looks like a random 60-something year old bum in that shot in the Leafs hallway.

His voice must also be SHOT at this point, at least live. He may still sound okay in studio, but that gravely voice of his can't possibly sound good live at the age he is now, without the best sound guy you can possibly have.

I've always though Bon Jovi sucked. I don't care if he comes from New Jersey and I'm supposed to like him. He seems like a good guy, but I've never liked his music, ever. I will say, before they got really big, they didn't sound that bad. Before they were making ballad music that seemed to be purposely made to sell millions of records. I feel the same about them is I do Def Leppard. I don't think Def Leppard was that bad before they kind of became more ballad-y.

I don’t know about the Rangers but I’m guessing the Leafs thing is related to him partnering up with a Toronto-based group in 2013-14 to buy the Buffalo Bills.

Their bid lost obviously but it got spicy when the rumor was that group’s plan was to move the Bills to Toronto. (They reportedly had studies about building a Toronto arena in the future.)

He was the face of that group, even writing an open letter in The Buffalo News in 2014 to deny the Toronto relocation rumors.

This was still a sore point years later and Bon Jovi denied that moving the Bills to Toronto was the plan years in 2018 on The Howard Stern Show.

He even claimed he planned to moved there.

Bon Jovi told Stern. "But we were as real as real got and, you know, I'm brokenhearted because I would have loved it and what we would've done in Western New York.

"And people don't realize, I was really gonna get a house there, I was going to move there, I was really, seriously, changing my life."

Music would've become "more of a hobby," Bon Jovi added.

According to the Buffalo News, some remain skeptical of Bon Jovi's intentions. The singer's bid included Toronto-based partners like Larry Tanenbaum of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and Edward Rogers of Rogers Communications, prompting some local bars and restaurants to put up signs declaring themselves "Bon Jovi Free Zones."

The bad blood still goes both ways because JBJ is apparently a huge baby. He told GQ UK this:

(Why would the readers of GQ UK would care? Good question. link)

"We showed up with a billion three, sitting there with a cheque. And we could have easily bought it at any price. We didn't get to get back in the room. [Pegula] said, 'What do I have to do to not leave this table without owning the team?"

It still smarts. "I won't ever go back to the city of Buffalo," he says. "You will never see my face in
Buffalo ever. I have knocked it off the map.”

Anyhoo, he got real friendly with the Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment guy so he started going to Leafs games and Playing in Toronto a lot.

It lead to this:

First he let his hair go gray and he looks like a random 60-something year old bum in that shot in the Leafs hallway. I remember thinking in the early 00's ''I hope I look as good as him when I'm 40! His music sucks but he looks great!'' and for the last 7 or 8 years I've been thinking ''I really hope I look better than him when I'm 55-60''.

His voice must also be SHOT at this point, at least live. He may still sound okay in studio, but that gravely voice of his can't possibly sound good live at the age he is now, without the best sound guy you can possibly have. Those type's voices usually don't age well.

Post is definitely like that. Sort of how like Garth Brooks will wear the jersey of whatever team in whatever stadium/arena he's in.

Also

Bruce > Jovi. Really, Frank > Bruce > Jovi but that's unfair.

I'm not a Pokemon nerd. Now if we're talking Star Wars I know plenty of useless nerd stuff. Hell, my username is half from the Devils and half from an obscure nickname a character had in an old EU book that used to be my username on multiple Star Wars forums back in the day (before I got tired of the constant bitching back and forth in that fandom).
and you haven't got tired of it here?
