That comeback win against Edmonton was maybe the best win of the season... I know some will argue the Severson goal against the Rangers... but that Edmonton win was the game that made me realize this team was actually good.
I watched that 48-minute video of every Devils goal from last season that was posted here last week, and those two were the best

Has anyone looked at where the Devils sit waiver-wise for day 1 roster? I wonder if there’s room for another addition or if the Devils are done from that perspective.

I don’t recall the exact terminology (something about cap hit later in the year being prohibitive because of bonus structure), but I am assuming Nemec will be on the day 1 roster for the same reason he was last year. I would imagine that applies to Hughes as well, even though he should be on the team. Add Foote into the mix as a waiver-eligible player and all three of those guys will be on the day 1 roster.

Meier - Hughes - Mercer
Bratt - Hischier - Toffoli
Palat - Haula - Foote
Nosek - McLeod - Bastian
Lazar
(Holtz swapping with Nemec roster-wise at some point)

Siegenthaler - Hamilton
Hughes - Marino
Bahl - Miller
Smith - Nemec

VV
Schmid

From the looks of it, the roster is done as any additional roster player will force the Devils to waive someone (Smith, Lazar, Foote, etc.) which I doubt they would commit to until training camp rolls around.

Meh. The only Jersey bands I like are ones that you don't usually associate with there. Guys like Smithereens and Blues Traveler, along with some metal/hard core bands.
The only Jersey band that matters to me is Overkill. Hard working band that never compromised and still brings it.

Do we know what the Tkachuk’s connection to NJ is? I remember last year there were pics floating around of them vacation at the Jersey shore. Now it looks like Brady’s wedding was in Peapack and Gladstone.

I don't think that's the connection he was asking about. He was wondering why it seems like two guys who grew up mostly in St. Louis and whose dad is from Massachusetts would spend so much time in New Jersey.

I've never been a Misfits fan, ever. Though there's a couple of songs I like, but not really an entire album's worth.

Everything they did after Danzig with different singers was a joke. It's like the new FAKE Black Flag. They were called the Fakefits by most.

My favorite Jersey band are probably the Bouncing Souls, who unfortunately most Devils fans will be familiar with only because of the stupid Ole song that they used as the goal song in the last season in the Meadowlands.

That's one of the rare tracks of theirs that I skip. I didn't really skip over it back in 1999 when the album came out, but now I do. I've had enough of it.

ahh got it. Yeah not sure there.

From some Google research, Brady's wife Emma (and her brother, Coyote draft pick John) is from NJ. Though I would imagine they met at the Jersey shore.

I treat it as background noise essentially, but because I have the Devils saved as a favorite team on my Hulu/ESPN+ feed, I have the ability to rewatch many of the games from last season with Bill and Dano. So that's a nice way to entertain myself in the summer working from home.

I'm currently running our first throttling of Columbus from around Halloween.
this was probably the zamboni driver's favorite game. just half the work in the intermission.

1.) Stutzle
2.) Sanderson
3.) Raymond
4.) Perfetti
5.) Lafreniere
6.) Byfield
7.) Mercer
8.) Jarvis
9.) Lundell
10.) Quinn

They just played in Asbury on Saturday! I agree about Ole. I liked Gaslight Anthem for years - still do - but I can't listen to our goal song outside the Pru Center anymore.

That whole Western Canada road trip was a blast!
It was . I went to the Flames game and almost got in a tilt after we won in OT . I rubbed it in a Flames fans face pretty bad . I gave the show fist pump about 5 inches away from his face . He was talking shit all game and it was glorious to be able to rub the win in his face .
I also got to talk to Chico before the game . It was such a good overall experience .

Misfits screwed a record producer (also from NJ) on one of their compilation albums denying him a gold record which I can't really forgive.

There's tons of NJ bands. Fountains of Wayne, My Chemical Romance, Gaslight Anthem, Bouncing Souls, Pinegrove...
